Description
Vena Cava is amazing with its gently waspy, yet completely downtown looks.
Each season of this young label just keeps getting better and better, as the duo (Lisa Maycock and Sophie Buhai) grow more comfortable with their brand, and design ethos
These two are also Gen Art alums. Gosh... we know how to pick 'em, eh?
Love their very "TRUE" Bohemian/late 60s looks in their Fall 2006 collection pictured above.

Description
Fashion label Octopi is made of up two graduates from RISD - Sarah Welsh and Madeline Davy. The pair have created seriously fabulous summer looks with like their cotton double strap tank top and pleated mini-skirt in a soft cream. It's easy, breezy with a touch of class you just can't find in the jumpers that everyone else is pushing this season.
Octopi is a Gen Art fashion alum and boy, we're proud of them now that they're rockstars on the fashion scene with their au courant fall collection with their perfectly slouchy beige pants and a pair of black high waist-ers that have us feeling very Katherine Hepburn.

We've always felt that Demi Moore had great taste and she's a huge fan of PS's. We happen to agree with her selection of this luxury label. It's edgy, and yet upscale. Edgy is a such a meaningless word. Let's try again. It's slick, subtly bad-ass, perfect for a downtown party, any yet totally upscale.
The design team of Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough has only been in business since 2002, but they're collections are widely acknowledged by fashion's most elite. From the pics below we bet you know why.

Description
Eventide is a New York based design company built upon the sweat of Sarah Spratt and Christian Stroble. The brand aspires to "-create a segway from classic elegance to the modern day woman". The duo's Fall/Winter 2006 collection does an excellent job of actualizing the mission with its re-imagined embellishments, bell sleeves, wool dresses and fitted sweaters (pics attached). Their Spring 2006 looks got us through the summer looking fabulous in jersey fabrics with sexy off the shoulder necklines.
The only downside to Eventide is that it's hard to obtain outside of New York, but try the Style.com shop or just kick them an email, and they'll help you out.
