Old Stone 16-Inch Round Oven Pizza Stone
First to recommend
Description
Homemade pizza never tastes the same as what comes from the local pizzeria because you don't have a stone oven. The pizza stone sort of recreates that in a home oven by heating evenly and retaining heat.

Bialetti Pizza Peel

Description
Perhaps the greatest contribution to "American" food from Italy is pizza, but let's not think about Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's. Make it at home in your oven the way Italian people do. The Biaetti Pizza Peel has solid wood construction, tapered edge to easily slides under pizza, loop for easy storage.

Mario Batali 8-Piece Melamine Mixing Bowl Set
First to recommend
Description
It seems that much of regional Italian cooking is done directly on the stovetop - just chop the ingredients and send them straight into the cooking pot. However, when there are times that mixing must be done, Mario Batali has a set of melamine mixing bowls in a very "Italian" color, pesto.

These days, we might associate Mario Batali with regional Italian cuisine, but it was Marcella Hazan who brought it to us first. This book is a compilation of her first two books that teaches us that Italian food isnt just spaghetti and meatballs.

Mario Batali Measuring Spoons in Persimmon

Description
My guess is that the little old Italian ladies in their tiny cottages in the countryside have never used a measuring spoon in their lives, but then again, they've been doing this for years and are probably born with a natural ability to measure olive oil, vinegar, and herbs. For us plebes, we can use Mario Batali's melamine measuring spoons that are double sided and magnetic for ease of storage. Of course, it has to be the persimmon orange color in honor of Batali's orange clogs.

Italian Anchovy Fillets In Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Description
While some cuisines will eat anchovies straight, Italian cooks like to use it as a way to season their sauces. "Melt" some fillets into your next tomato sauce.
