Hi Homer, You certainly know your wellies! Just bought a pair of green hunters today (might as well go for the classic look). I wouldn't think you would need rubber boots so much in L.A. (Seattle definitely), but I guess it has been raining quite a bit there. Great thing about Hunters is that they are perfect for winter and spring. Cheers, Marc
