HydroPeptide Eye

First to recommend

Description

I don't really have bags or puffiness under my eyes, I have skeletal-esque dark circles. I have dark circles that scare small children. I have dark circles that no amount of sleep or prayer can cure.

I've been using eye creams since I was 24 or 25, which means I've tried many, many products in the hundred or so years I've dabbled with the stuff. Helena Rubenstein makes a good one (Prodigy Eyes Global Anti-Ageing Concentrate Eye Balm), but it's wicked expensive.

But this cream - HydroPeptide Eye - is really reasonable, and - unlike most products I've tried - I saw immediate results, especially in lightening the pits of evil blackness beneath my eyes. My eyes look brighter and younger and moisturized.

Yay!

iQ Derma Firmaceuticals

Description

Hands-down, this is the very best skincare or beauty item I have ever tried - and I have even used prescription products.

Every time I look at myself, I'm amazed.

It's THAT good.

Firmaceuticals is a cellulite gel, and as a cellulite gel it does, indeed, do its job admirably. It works better, in fact, than all other cellulite gels/creams I've tried.

But that's not what got me.

Pregnancy left me with severe stretch marks over most of my thighs and stomach. It looks like I have paintings of trees on my upper legs. Ugly. Awful. Embarrassing. I've tried prescription creams ($140 for a small tube, thankyouverymuch), I've tried Murad. I've tried everything.

THIS WORKS.

This is AMAZING. The stretch marks are shrinking and changing to skin color (instead of that angry red that stands out so badly on the beach). They get better every.single.day. It's incredible.

All while my thighs and tummy are also looking fitter and firmer and sleeker and slimmer.

Just try it. Seriously. You'll be blown away.

I thought I would be the first to recommend!

Never seen anything like it, but if I could justify spending $20 on trash bags, I would buy a lifetime supply.

Love that it's amazing design AND recyclable plastic.

Lancome Fatale Mascara

Description

This mascara is great when you are going all-out and a little overboard on your lashes, but it's not natural and it isn't for the faint of heart.

The barely-there bristles layer on the color, so you get stand-out lashes - the super made-up kind.

I love this for Vegas and fun club nights, when I'm wearing so much eye makeup I look like a hooker or a rock star. I would never wear it to work.

This is the first letter of my very favorite guy, which makes this charm an uber-compelling purchase. If I paired it with the A, it would be cute for all kinds of reasons. Hmmm...

NOC-Out Cover-Up Compact by RedPoint Cosmetics

First to recommend

Description

I love makeup, and as a direct result I've tried a bunch of stuff on the market. In related news, while perhaps my eyes could be described as "pools of moonlight," my UNDEReyes can easily be called "two pools of mud." I have dark circles and no concealer has ever done a good job of covering them up (although Stila's concealer pots are actually pretty decent).

RedPoint, a tiny little cosmetics line that no one has ever heard of - but everyone should use - has developed a product called Noc-Out. It's a compact that actually contains three concealers in one: A formula designed to cover redness (like acne), one to hide brown spots/freckles, and another to camouflage dark circles under the eyes. AND IT WORKS. I used it early this morning, and it's stayed on all day. Everything that's supposed to be hidden is still, for the most part, out of site. And keeping ugly blemishes out of site makes this product outta site! :)
