About Me

“It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog” (Mia Hamm). This is the quote that I live by. It means that with hard work and perseverance, one can achieve whatever they dream possible. Heart and passion are everything when it comes to fitness, and throughout my 10 years in the private training industry, I feel that I have developed strong qualities not only as a trainer, but as a fitness manager.

I started my fitness career as a physical therapist aide while playing Division 1 Basketball in college. In fact, I have played sports my whole life and earned a full Scholarship to S.C.U. In college, I figured I would play basketball professionally, but injuries got the best of me. So right out of college, I decided to become a personal trainer as I had enjoyed working with the patients at the PT Clinic. I absolutely loved being a fulltime trainer for about a year and a half, but then I felt that I needed to push myself to the next level, Fitness Management. For the next three years, I managed three 24 Hour Fitness Clubs. As I built them up to make them financially stronger clubs, they would switch me to others that needed to be built up as well. After those three years, again I decided that it was time to step it up a notch. I wanted to manage the best club I had ever heard of, The Sports Club LA/ Los Angeles. I worked as the Fitness Manager/ ADVANTAGE Trainer for about three years as well, before going on my maternity leave. During my leave, I decided that I was ready for another change. I wanted to be a part of a close knit group at a gym that has the expectancy to become something huge. I want to help something really grow and become the best! So here I am at Juliet Kaska’s Emerson Hall Fitness.
