She stares fixedly at the small pearls of blood that form along the line of the most recent cut. A gentle drop of her shoulders is followed by a slight sigh.
"Hey," he says, tense and on the verge, his fingers waving at his side like small tentacles. "You done with that yet?"
She looks at him balefully then slowly licks the blade clean and hands it to him. He falls upon the pile of white powder in a methodical frenzy.

Someone with good taste had these delivered to the office. How I do love appreciative clients! I swooped in and snagged the scrumptious truffle. The spectacular, rich, velvety, melt-in-my-mouth moment was totally worth the dirty look my co-worker gave me for beating her to it. Thank heavens there was more than one. “Really,” I told her, “there’s no second best with these.”

I bought myself lingerie for Valentine’s Day since I simply cannot resist such an excellent excuse to spoil myself in the name of a good cause. After all, let’s face it-- any man that buys lingerie for a woman is commendably confident or simply stupid. The pitfalls are clear: too soon in a relationship and you tend to wonder if he loves you for your mind. If he waits until later and gets the style or size wrong you think he may not know you as well as he ought too. I let it slip tonight how much I love Agent Provocateur. I didn’t mention how fabulous their website is—maybe we can discover that together. One thing I know: he loved the wrapping... and the package.
