Hi Kristine, I was just interested in learning if you ever checked out the unlined yellow rubber waders (which they call "stockings") at the German site I told you about a couple of years ago, http://tinas-private-gummiwelt.de. I just looked at the site again and they still carry the waders, but only in a single size, a foot length of 28 cm, so if your feet are more than 28 cm in length the waders would be too small. They have added PVC thigh-high "carwash boots" in orange or green that also look interesting, but also are only available in foot sizes of 27 or 28 cm, unfortunately too small for me. I may get some for my wife, though

Hi Kristine Your insight into buying rubber boots was very helpful (and no, I don't think you are psychotic; everyone should have something they are passionate about; unless, of course, it involves buying guns!). I finally bought myself a pair of genuine green Hunter wellies, and they feel great! I usually buy a cheap pair of rubber boots from Walmart every couple of years, but hopefully these will last a little bit longer. I know it's trendy these days to buy the psychdelic/tartan rubber boots, but I wanted the pair that is the Rolls Royce of Rubber Boots, the green hunter welly. Definitely not cheap, but you know what, you get what you pay for (and like I wrote, they do feel great!). It almost seems a pity to get them all muddy (but isn't that part of the fun of rubber boots?). Cheers, Marc
