Space Shuttle Ring

Updated Nov 5, 2006

Description

Jennifer Wood is both a silversmith and a lampworker, making her own glass beads. Mastering one of these crafts is challenge enough. I'm impressed!

The ring looks a bit dangerous. But also unique and extraordinary.

"Kleine Katze" brooch, by Felix Lindner

Updated Oct 19, 2006

1st to recommend

Description

I'm a big cat fan (we have five right now), and this brooch touches my heart. I don't know how it would look when worn: you'd see the kitty from a whole different angle. I like this angle. I guess I'd have to wear it on my shoulder.

Synergy Necklace by Ayala Bar

Updated Oct 12, 2006

Description

This is handmade--and so beautiful! I love the interplay of colors, and of course that it's beaded.

From the Arts and Passions Boutique:

"Israeli jewelry artist, Ayala Bar, is the designer of some of the most beautiful, hand made jewelry you will ever see. Using small beads, stones and crystals set in German silver and sterling chain, Ayala creates magnificent mosaic pieces of wearable art."

Lillian Vernon: Canvas 2-Sided Jewelry Organizer

Updated Oct 10, 2006

1st to recommend

Description

I have one of these, and I love it. I can see where everything is instead of hunting for something among several disorderly jewelry boxes, which saves time when I'm trying to get out the door. For those of us with Attention Deficit Disorder, it's important to be able to SEE where we have put things. We tend to be "out of sight, out of mind" sorts.

This would also be great for storing craft supplies or any number of other things. If I I get another one I'll use it to keep my beading tools organized--not just scissors and pliers and such, but wire and and needles and Thread Heaven and . . . I think I need to get another one!

Indie, Indie, Indie!

"Indie" refers to items designed and made by independent artists--not by the huge chains that stock the department stores. These pieces are born of love and passion.
