Melissa Magsaysay is the style and beauty writer for the Los Angeles Times Image section. In addition to conceptualizing and writing fashion stories and interpreting trends, Melissa produces, art directs and styles each photo shoot. She also is a regular contributor to latimes.com’s popular All the Rage blog, with its “musings on the culture of keeping up appearances.” Prior to joining The Times, she spent three years as the west coast fashion market editor at Women's Wear Daily, producing and styling fashion stories.

As a stylist and writer Melissa is able to communicate trends, fashion and style advice visually and editorially in her weekly "Your Stylist" updates, which appear in All the Rage, as well as through video segments created for The Times site.

Her book, “City of Style,” about exploring fashion and trends in Los Angeles is due out in February 2012.
