Rocca, Albino Barbaresco Brich Ronchi
First to recommend
Description
2004 supposedly is a better vintage than any of the great Piedmonte run from 1996-2001. And this wine proves it! A massive, dense wine that remains light on its feet. Rose petal, tar... all of the classic nebbiolo aromas framed by sweet oak.
For those of you who have tasted a Barolo or Barbaresco, I can not recommend this wine highly enough. You will understand why it is the wine for kings... (via vinsrare.com)

wabash cannonball

Description
okay, anyone who knows cheese knows that the greatest cheeses come from france. it's not open for discussion. for those of you that like to support american artisanal cheese makers (and i being one of them), i can not recommend highly enough the wabash cannonball from indiana. made from goats milk with an ash rind, this cheese has a tangy stink to it and a wonderfully soft texture. its one of the great american cheeses and i can not recommend it highly enough....

Description
okay, if you are a beginning wine enthusiast, go out and buy this bottle and put it away. better yet buy 4 and put them away. at some point you will no longer be a beginning wine enthusiast... at that point you will look in your cellar, see this wine, and thank me.
if you never progress past a beginning wine enthusiast, you will turn around and sell this wine for more than you paid. and again you will thank me....
if you are no longer a beginning wine enthusiast, then you already have this wine in your cellar, and i have no idea why you are reading this now!

Description
I got sold into these wheels at my bikeshop. the guy said, i would save 2 gears when riding in a pack, and the weight penalty is minor except for the steepest hills.... i said $1500 for wheels???
well, when the weekend comes around, the armour (ie the wheels) goes on. son of a gun was right.... and i try to put the hurt on the group before we get to the hills and the 145 lb guys put the hurt on me....

Schott Zwiesel Enoteca Wine Glass Stemware
First to recommend
Description
everyone has heard the problem with lead in crystal (u haven't heard?? do a little research...) schott zwiesel uses titanium instead of lead. which makes for stemware that is practically indestructible... personally, i like the tritan series for everyday drinking (under $10)... but i love the enoteca champagne flutes (about $20... get the ones with the bigger bulb).... great stemware...

Mugnier NSG Clos de la Marechale - $76.99 : Vins Rare, The finest selection of rare wines.
First to recommend
Description
well, i have yet to taste this wine. but this producer - frederic mugnier - appears to be spot on for 2005 - the next GREAT vintage in red burgundy. his 2005 musigny sells for well over $1000/bottle. this wine at around $80 should be delicious.
okay, update - this wine is great, its has the density/animale quality of a nuits st george with the delicate winemaking touch of mugnier, great wine, and one that i now have a bunch of in my cellar.... (via vinsrare.com)
