About Me

Born in San Diego, California, my first love was the art of design and I began sewing at the age of 8. Although my handbags have been a hit among the stars and women all around the world, I began designing clothing at the age of 18. I launched my clothing line in 2001, but it wasn't until my good friend and actress Jenna Elfman asked me to design a handbag for her next movie that the 'Morning After' bag was born.

My clothing line had the details that one would expect in a well made garment and were cut to move over the body with ease. I took these ideas to my handbag collection, wanting to design bags for everyday women that were versatile in color and comfortable in style.
My handbag collection has been spotted on the arms of such celebrities as Hilary Duff, Bijou Phillips, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and Debra Messing to name a few. Now with three collections this year, the Rebecca Minkoff brand has made it's way in to such stores as Searle, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Henri Bendel and Shopbop.com. It is also carried in over 200 boutiques across the country as well as Japan, France, Russia and Canada.

I'm a 26 year old who has made her mark in the New York fashion scene as a notable designer and plan to venture back into clothing in the upcoming seasons.
