Description

Stephen Colbert's first book (at least one that's non "Daily Show" related) is "I Am America (And So Can You!).

It's absolutely hilarious and will noticeably increase your patriotism and standing within the Colbert Nation.

Buy this book, or the bad guys win.

The Colbert Report: Stephen Colbert's "Colbert Nation" Bumpersticker

Updated May 12, 2008

1st to recommend

Description

I'm a proud member of the Colbert Nation, with all the rights and responsibilities that pertain to that membership.

I believe that bears and men with beards are not only threats to America, but they're dead to me.

You can usually tell a citizen of the Colbert Nation by the intensely patriotic look on their face, their resolve in the debate over whether our current president is a "great president... or the greatest president", and their distrust of "facts" (we all know that facts have a known liberal bias).

Oh, and by the Colbert Nation bumper sticker on their gigantic SUV.

The Colbert Report: Stephen Colbert's WRISTSTRONG Bracelet

Updated May 12, 2008

1st to recommend

Description

Buy this wrist bracelet to promote wrist awareness! And the rule of the wriststrong bracelet is that if you see someone more famous than you, you have to give it to them.

I dont make the rules, but as a member of the Colbert Nation, I merely enforce them.

Microsoft Zune 1.8" Black 8GB MP3 / MP4 Player

Recommended for a facebook user who wants zune original, using I Want on Facebook.

Updated May 12, 2008

Description

Microsoft's Zune is actually a very decent MP3/ MP4 player. It has a huge screen and intuitive controls.

The best part about the Zune is hopefully, in the future, it will have the ability to have portable games loaded on it. Now, that would be a huge hit over any of the iPods

Description

My wife and used this swing until our son could no longer fit in it.

Above all, it's safe, it's comfy and it's simple. It doesnt have a lot of fancy stuff that can be broken, bitten, wrestled off and thrown, or otherwise destroyed.

IT's simplicity and safety at its best.

Lord Of The Rings: Shadows Of Angmar Special Edition for Windows XP/ Vista

Updated May 9, 2008

1st to recommend

Description

This is my current MMORPG addiction. I tried World of Warcraft, but it didn't hold me. However, LotRO is one of the best MMOs out there. You can play as a hobbit, human, elf or dwarf and live an adventurous life in Middle Earth. With several distinct classes (and a few more in their upcoming expansion pack) you can be sure to find a class that fits your particular play style.

for those of you who want to be Gandalf... sorry, there are only 3 wizards at the time: Gandalf the Grey, Saruman the White and Radagast the Brown.

Another great thing about it, is the addition of Monster Play. In their PvP (player vs. player) areas, you can be an orc, goblin, uruk-hai, warg or other nefarious characters that serve the Great Eye.

Shark Retractable Cord Iron

Recommended for a facebook user who wants an Iron, using I Want on Facebook.

Updated May 9, 2008

1st to recommend

Description

When I decided to start ironing, and stop looking like a wrinkled up slob, I had no idea which iron to get. They ranged from super cheap to over $100. I was completely lost.

However, I got this shark iron and it works well, it has all the features you'll ever need.. plus the most important one. The retractable cord. This little detail seems so insignificant, but when you're struggling to get your clothes ironed quickly, the retractable cord really does help.

Yes, I know it stands for Hybrid Assistive Limb, but omg, how much bad karma can you fit in a name.

Yet, something still tells me, if someone gave this to me, and wanted me to put it on, I'd do so without hesitation. :)

FTW! Mug - Coffee For Teh Win

Updated May 8, 2008

Description

Most mugs I have are either gifts from family that I'll never use or display, or the horribly tacky ones that I'd never drink of.

This one I'd proudly drink coffee or tea from (even earl grey) because it tells the world that whatever is in this mug is FTW. (and by the transitive property of products... it tells people that I'm FTW too).

I've seen a lot of excellent lightsaber replicas in my time, and so far, I've resisted actually purchasing any of them. It's like I have this mental block to getting one. I think that if I actually end up buying a replica lighsaber, I'll slide down my own slippery slope of geekery.

Still, if ever I were to buy a replica lightsaber, it'd be from these guys at Parks Sabers. They're absolutely wonderful. (via Parks Sabers)

Pollinators: Stunning Prints From Dan McCarthy

Description

I have nothing to say than I'm completely awed by this print. I love the symmetry, I love the design, I love the intricate detail, and of course, dinosaurs are awesome!

There's something inherently beautiful about the symmetry of biological form and function, when you consider that the title "Pollinators" refers to different types of reproduction. I could look at this all day long and discover new connections between the artwork. Isn't evolution amazing!
