charmer hamper basket shopping in CB2 storage

First to recommend

Description

I'm on the prowl for the perfect clothes hamper for a bedroom that really needs one -- "Kid, get your clothes off the floor!"

Love the shape of this one. It's like art for dirty laundry. And could hold all sorts of other stuff, too. (via CB2)

My sisters and I give one another a lot of earrings for birthdays and holidays, and someone always says, "Ooh, more chandeliers for the ears!"

Can't wait to give one of them these! (via Supermarket)

Supermarket - Necklush

First to recommend

Description

How beautiful. Every print and color of every strand made by hand so each is unique. I'm buying one for my Florida sister who is never warm enough when she comes north for the winter holidays. Usually we give her stuff to wrap up in that goes right into mothballs when she heads back south. But not this time! She can wrap herself in her necklush up to her ears, then dress any work or dinner look with this myriad stranded scarf when she gets back home.

What an amazing thing, no? (via Supermarket)

The Joy of Cooking

Description

I grew up on Mrs. Rombauer. All her recipes have that fine elegant touch that make them perfect for everyday and company.

Right now I'm using a spiral edition, especially handy but I'm not sure it it's still available. Whatever the format, Mrs. Rombauer will become the heart of your kitchen for traditional America cuisine.

I slept under one of these as a guest over the holidays. It's warm and it's heavy. I have down comforters and they're great, but I love the weight of real blankets and this has got it.

Hang six bottles of wine or champagne from the wall with these nice looking wall racks. Designed with the vertical hangings of wine grapes in mind, it is a fresh way to store your wine sideways (the proper way to store wine) and display your collection at the same time.

Easy, No Knead Crusty Bread

First to recommend

Description

Really. The easiest, tastiest, crunchiest, yummy-est bread ever. All you need is some flour, instant yeast, a little salt, a large bowl and a big covered enamel, cast iron or ceramic pot.

Basically you just mix the ingredients, set the dough aside to ferment for 12-18 hours, then bake the dough in the pot in a hot oven.

You'll be making fewer trips to the artisan bakery if your give it a try. (via Mother Earth News)

Spatula & Equivalents

First to recommend

Description

It's a kitchen spatula and a liquid/dry measurements conversion chart in one. No more flipping back and forth in the cookbook (or if you're me, running to look up equivalents on the internet).

Put it together with some neat mixing bowls. and this would make a great gift for a wedding shower, wouldn't it? And it's inexpensive. Buy two and keep one for yourself. (via Brylane Home)
