Description

Because going too modern can be harsh and cold, it's always a good idea to add a little bit of "sparkies" and "drama" to your house. It makes it warm and inviting. When lit, the light looks on fire, which I love. This lamp will tie in the brown couch with the white furniture keep the house from looking boring. (via West Elm)

I saw this chandelier in Home (Sept 2007) in an article about Candice Olson from Divine Design. It's fun and exciting and different. The 4th of July is my absolute favorite holiday. It really reminds me of one of those big fireworks exploding in the sky. While Candice featured it in the bedroom... I think it's too fun to be tucked away, and would probably hang it in the dining room. (via Home Magazine)

When you have a small apartment, it is key to make it look larger and less crowded. This can be done by utilizing mirrors and glass. This glass table won't make a living room look cluttered like a big wooden table. It will still look spacious. (via CB2)

This side board is the perfect height. I like that it doesn't sit on the ground, which means you can use the extra space underneath for storage (like wicker baskets). If your dinning room also happens to be your office/ homework center, this is great for hiding paper, printers, laptops, etc. Up against a red wall, this would really pop! (via Ikea)

HUGE couch!!! I love spending nights sitting on the couch, and yes, watching the Lord Of Rings Trilogy. I like this couch for several reasons: 1- it's super deep... to allow for plenty of room for cuddling. 2- there are no pillow attached to the couch, so you can decorate how you want. that makes it very versatile.
