Elise Pleasure Object
First to recommend
Description
Did you say "pleasure object"?
That is a fabulous word for it. And it doesn't look like something you have to hide under lock and key. So, even better. And when all is said and done, all you have to actually know is this: "Elise is rechargeable and a 3-hour charge will provide up to 4 hours of bliss."

What a great idea. When it is closed, it doesn't look so aggressive, but opened, it causes a stir. (via A+R)

Crow Model Plane
First to recommend
Description
I swear I used to buy two or three balsa-wood planes a week, wind 'em up an let 'em fly around and around and around the open spaces near my grandparents' house. And here's a design that was one of the first ever. And when I say ever, I mean ever. "The Crow design was the first such model plane to ever be built and flown in Japan. It dates from 1889, when its inventor based his model on the crow's wing span after studying them in flight. The propeller is a push - so its on the back!" Cool beans? Beans are cool.

Phonophone II

Description
Plug in your ipod and listen: "This cast ceramic grammaphone by Tristan Zimmerman for Science+Sons works without external power or batteries." How cool is that? I say it's pretty darn cool. Okay, not for long-term listening, maybe, but still... I'd love to show it off, especially in my utterly white, completely sterile home-entertainment lab.

An iPhone web app worth bookmarking, I think, not just because I'm invested in Starbucks... but also because Starbucks tends to have really clean bathrooms, so when I'm on a trip and need a place to "freshen up," I look for myself a Starbucks location.
