Description

First of all the sound picture is perfect, the trademark sound of Kraftwerk is extremely warm sounding compared to the thin electronics of the DJ's and button-pushers who have emerged from the influence of Kraftwerk's early albums. Seems the sound of Kraftwerk has improved this live collection features most of their most familiar songs, but with much more swing, depth, and luster. As far as the cover design is concerned, I like the inner sleeve over the slip cover.

I've been hoping that a the electronic keyboard would one day evolve from the piano and wood/sampled acoustic instruments into a new instrument in it's own right. The Yamaha TENORI-ON( GBP 599, about $1200 September 2007) is that instrument. TENORI-ON--designed by Japanese media artist Toshio Iwai is a touch screen allowing you to "draw" your music. It features not only provide the control interface to 16 layers, 256 preset tones, and 6 sequence/loop modes, but also displays in lights what is often a stunning visual feedback loop on whatever is being output by the device.

I've been waiting for this for too long. Unfortunately I'd seen the original theatrical release so many times that when I finally got a chance to see the far superior "Director's Cut" I still had the crappy Deckard's voiceover narration running in my head--nightmare! This time I'm ready, many years have past since the "Director's Cut" I can now enjoy the new "Final Cut" without total recall of Deckard narrating each shot

a legendary masterpiece--I've only recently discovered--not that I haven't heard the gravitational sounds from this pivotal Isaac Hayes album or radio before. Now I feel it's important to get the word out, the Isaac Hayes version of Burt Bacharach's "Walk On By" and Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," are slow burn love songs lasting 12 and 18.5 minutes apiece. The 10-minute "Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic," caught me off guard, but now I'm hooked.

"Generations of Love" is the only Boy George song I've ever really liked. Truth be told, I bought this EP because of the cover, I guess there wasn't anything new worth buying that week. I think Mike Figgis had me in mind when he made this one. --Mike Figgis takes Kate Moss into the dream time in his book of souvenirs from his "Agent Provocateur" film "The 4 Dreams of Miss X" I keep the DVD (included in the book) playing all the time--it works perfectly well a fashion video wallpaper.
