because swedes are just so cool. this chest of walnut & vavonnaroot is nothing short of stunning in person! something Alice Pleasance Liddell would've had in her home as an adult - with 19 drawers full of curious objects. get this for your girl with the precious stash.

clutter is not cute. hide bills, matchbooks & even that ubiquitous remote control in a trio of glossy handmade, lacquered boxes. visually stunning alone or stacked, they come in a bunch of different colors with super glazed finishes that almost look candy-coated.

when you see photos of glamourous homes in glossy shelter magazines do you scope out what the homeowner has on their bookshelves? then this is your list. every volume i choose must have at least 2 of these qualities - engrossing content, beautiful spine or dust jacket, interest of the client, or irony. i always make sure to sneak in a few surprises too, that way you can find out which clients actually read their books. these picks plus great vintage volumes & you're camera ready!
