Beauty is ABOUTFACE.

My relationship with make-up and beauty began as a model in New York City. Things were a little rocky at first – I’d walk away from the most talented makeup artists feeling like I’d be more camera-friendly without the pounds of cosmetics. And when I’d go to cosmetic counters, I’d never find the right shade of foundation to match my Asian skin tone.

Starting to feel helpless about finding a flattering beauty regimen to suit my needs, I decided I’d create one myself. I’d studied fine arts and painting in college, and I knew how to work with my Asian features.

With that, About Face was born, out of a passion for beauty and knowing the necessity of beautifying individual faces, instead of creating a single look for multiple women. About Face is just that – realizing make-up and beauty is about your face. Whether you have almond-shaped eyes, apple cheeks, or little lips, yellow skin, olive skin, or chocolate skin, it’s about your face and how you want to look.
