Robert Doisneau: A Photographer's Life, by Peter Hamilton

Description

He’s simply one of my favourite photographers. I look at his photos and it makes me wish I could step back in time, discover Paris in those days with my own camera.
There’s a huge vintage influence in my own style, and I find inspiration. Maybe in the elegance and the “simplicity” of those days. I look forward to tomorrow, seeing where the trends lead us, or which trends we create, but without yesterday… there simply isn’t today, and definitely there’s no tomorrow. We see it again and again in design and fashion, I believe all roots and inspiration step from “once upon a time”.

I just recently discovered leah pauline’s jewelry collections and am in absolute heaven. I have a couple of her necklaces on my “want” list. As a designer working independently, you naturally have a great admiration and respect for others doing their thing as beautifully and I try to support independent designer as much as I can.

Karin Eriksson Mint Cup with Handle

I have a love for porcelain. Whether searching for old tea cups at flea markets or discovering new artists working with this medium. Karin Erikkson from Sweden is definitely one of my favourites, I love the colourful gardens she creates, her incorporation of florals or simple butterflies on her vases. And yes, coffee tastes absolutely wonderful in her cups.

It’s spring and there are plenty of puddles out there. Especially when I’m out on my walks with the pup. That’s always inspiration time, quiet time, thinking time. But there’s always a little girl in me that likes to play… and puddles are much too much fun. And Tamara’s wellies are perfect for spring days, and I think they look fabulous together with my own omondieu! Floral rings. Especially the navy floral hunter boots.
