Born and raised in Tokyo, I attended the Vidal Sassoon School & Academy in London and received diplomas in Cutting, Colouring, Perming, Hair science, and I was voted best student in Mens hair cutting. I stayed on to style hair in London, and eventually opened Powder Rm, my own hair salon in the East Village of NYC.
