After 14 years as a telecom and energy analyst, I launched my own line of home accessories. Frustrated by the high cost of reaching customers and the lack of sales outlets my line, I created a trunk show series at the SoHo Grand Hotel in New York City that featured the work of a small band of design entrepreneurs. The shows grew in size and scope to include events in the Hamptons and at the Puck Building in SoHo. And Trunkt was born.
The success of the trunk shows led to a permanent Gallery in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City . The Gallery continues to feature the work of many of the same independent designers that were part of our early SoHo Grand Hotel trunk shows. And Trunkt continues to champion the work of independent designers and artists around the world.
