About Me

I’m the writer/director of “Normal Adolescent Behavior” and I’ve been trying to get my movie made for so long that I still get a shock every morning when I wake up and realize, I am making the movie and I am the one who says “action” and “cut” on set. I have a really amazing job after years of having really crappy ones, and I try to remember that when the hours are long and days aren’t always a dance party. Which isn’t to say I don’t put on some Marvin Gaye and dance around.

Purchase you’ll make?

New flip flops. And a pedicure. I’m not a girl about most things, but pedicures are a must have. Cute toes make life okay.

The 80’s comeback will be complete when the DeLorean resurfaces.

A bio-diesel converted Mercedes Wagon

Big step you’d like to make?

Buy a house with a big yard in the mountains

Fad that will fade?

Celebutantes as actresses. That may be wishful thinking.

Vacation you’ll take?

Tulum, Mexico. Me, the boyfriend and a hut on the beach with no electricity and plenty of hiking and swimming.

Thing you’re going to fight for?

Great performances from actors and the time to make them even better.

Secret that’s going to leak?

Our favorite sushi place, but only because I keep telling people about it.

Hollywood blockbuster going to be about?

Teenage girls who have sex, aren’t punished for it, and become confident and brilliant young women. Not that I’m biased.

Life you’ll lead?

Political activist.

Fountain of youth?

Passion.

Book you’ll read?

Sweet and Low by Rich Cohen about his family’s sugar and sweetener business and how it tore them apart.

Thing that will change the world?

Boycotting gossip. Just stop doing it, reading it, saying it or caring. It is a waste of energy.

Guilty-pleasure food in which you’ll indulge?

Cheese – the stinkier the better. In LA at the Silverlake Cheese shop they have a muenster cheese that smells so bad and tastes so good.

Person to whom you’ll say, “I love you”?

My boyfriend, Ben Meyer, who is editing the movie. He keeps me sane. Which is saying a lot.
