RadioShack Recorder with Voice Activation

First to recommend

Description

I have a good memory and take only minimal notes, except when taking technical information. Great little lightweight recorder with earphones if you want to listen privately. Only drawback is that it doesn't plug into telephone, but can use speaker phone, if needed.

RadioShack Cordless Expandable Phone System

Description

This phone does everything but write my articles. Answerer records digitally for up to 12 minutes--no tape required. Voice prompts for easy setup. You can add up to 3 accessory cordless handsets to any room--no phone jacks required. Other features too numerous to mention.

Canon PowerShot A300

Description

Not exactly top of the line but I have no complaints with picture quality. I chose this model because, to be honest, it was the store's loss leader that week and the price was right. Only problem is myriad tiny icons that are difficult to read and instruction book was confusing, but it serves my purposes and I won't upgrade as long as it keeps working.

Nokia 6102 Camera Phone with Cingular service

Description

Was using AT&T until they were acquired by Cingular. Been using this service 3-1/2 years and I've never had a dropped call! Just switched to the camera phone and I love it! Still trying to figure out all the features.

BellSouth FastAccess DSL

First to recommend

Description

I used BellSouth dial-up before fast access came along and decided to go cable because it's slightly faster. However, service in my area was often down and if I had maintenance problems, it took 3-6 days to get a repairman out. BellSouth had never failed me so I went back to them after 3 months.

Interfaces with computer. Also has printer and answering machine features which I don't use but could if my other accessories failed. I like this baby because it is compact, lightweight and doesn't take up much desk space. (via NewWorldTelNet)

I bought three computer desks before I found the right one. Designed for a corner, it fits snugly in my bedroom and offers a lot of desktop space but doesn't take up that much space in the room. Added pedestal shelves afford easy access to reference books, discs, office supplies.

I'm a pretty good writer and believe I have a large vocabulary but finding a better word is part of developing one's craft. And, editors notice if you misspell or incorrectly use a word so it's always good to check if you use an unusual or thought-provoking synonym.
