I moved from Santa Fe, New Mexico to New York City this past November to pursue my two passions, Chinese language and Solar Energy. I'm a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker and I have owned my own solar design, consulting and installations business. I now work for Voltaic Systems, designing, sourcing, developing and marketing our line of
solar backpack and messenger bag products. This is a very interesting time to be involved in the renewable energy field as there is a swell of interest in finding more sustainable ways to produce energy for our planet. Linking this interest with a background in Chinese means that we straddle two of the more dynamic movements of our current history, the rise of the Chinese economy, and the growth in renewable energy
technologies.
