My name is Carol Rosinski and I’m an artist. My medium is the humble pencil. I've tried several mediums throughout my life but nothing has been a more expressive tool for me than graphite has been. Graphite pencil is limited, of course, by its lack of color but I find that limitation challenging. Limitations force the artist to dig deeper for the expression of her vision. The results often span beyond simple beauty and reach down into the emotional depths of the psyche. The inner vision of the artist is expressed and the inner world of the viewer is touched in this way. Like a river that's forced to run between banks made of rock, a medium that has limitations forces the artist to go deep and flow quickly.
