Premillennial Maakies : The First Five Years by Tony Millionaire
This proves that musty visuals, wit and adult fare are completely hilarious. (via Rainbow Bookstore)

Animated Guy
As a tyke, all I wanted to be was an animator. I simply saw animation as a way of seeing my drawings move. Now that I’m older, my interests have expanded into other performing arts - music, acting, dance - which I’m happy to say only dovetail right back into my first love of animation. Finally, with the advent of pc’s, I’m excited to see animation accessible to the masses and done low budget, as has always been possible with these other lower-tech disciplines. It’s underground, man! And as far as animation goes, I find myself returning to just those few wellsprings of inspiration that I love rather than the entire swath of animation/movie-related stuff I’ve accumulated over the years. Maybe it’s a paradox, but hopefully purchasing something you connect with means you’ll actually be purchasing less.

What is the next…
Purchase you’ll make?
Mirage animation software. I need something that makes animation more immediate and spontaneous. Something akin to a sketchbook.
Trend in design?
Better-looking American cars. It’s only been my entire lifetime that our country has had to bear the shame of its revolting cars.
Car you’d like to own?
I already own a hybrid, so may I be absolved for wanting a maroon ’61 Lincoln 4 dr conv with suicide doors?
Big step you’d like to make?
Loving myself. Emotionally, I mean. Oh, okay, and writing.
Fad that will fade?
The Mullet. Irony is not strong enough to trump its repellant nature. And I’m not suggesting we move towards rat-tails, either. Moustaches, on the other hand…
Vacation you’ll take?
Counter-intuition tells me a cruise. Or Texas. If Texas could get a cruise together, that’d be something.
Thing you’re going to fight for?
Apathy. And sarcasm.
Secret that’s going to leak?
Kung fu in animation isn’t funny and neither is breakdancing.
Hollywood blockbuster going to be about?
The MacGuffin.
Life you’ll lead?
Tragic self-critical-yet-forgetful combo.
Fountain of youth?
Facetiousness, circumlocution, charm.
Book you’ll read?
Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
Thing that will change the world?
Republicans, clearly. Oh, you mean for the better.
Guilty-pleasure food in which you’ll indulge?
When you’re a billy goat like me, you tend to indulge the salads.
Person to whom you’ll say, “I love you”?
That’d be my extremely special lady friend, Carolina.
