2007 Maserati Quattroporte

Description
I have no excuse for an automobile. In fact, given how convenient transit is where my family lives, I sold my car last spring. I do feel good about this from a "green" perspective, but must admit that I miss the fun of driving. There's something nice about a stack of music, an open road, and a car that really moves. So, given that I likely won't actually be buying a car at all, I'll put the Quattroporte as my "fantasy" selection.

Description
I've worn glasses for many years now, and always find it challenging to find a suitable pair. It may sound strange, but when you're wearing the same item day-in and day-out, it really is nice for the article to "fit". I don't know if it's indicative of all their products, but I do quite like how defined my black-rimmed Chanel glasses are. It's as though the product designer thought about the necessity of each line that he/she employed in them.

HTC P4000

Description
Canadians still don't have access to the clearly superior iPhone (I hear that we will later this fall), which leaves me using what I believe is perhaps the next best thing. I have an HTC P4000 with me wherever I go. It allows me to check my email anywhere and everywhere, which I love (even if my wife has come to loathe this compulsion.)

Nerf Ball

Description
Seeing how much my nephew liked his, I had to get a Nerf ball for my 11 month old son, Oscar. He loves it and we play with it all the time. Although he spends as much time gumming the ball as he does trying to bounce it, it's soft enough that the occasional bump to the head remains less than terrifying.

Description
With picture in picture I can answer emails, search online and not miss an inning of my Red Sox game, flip back to a movie or song on the media center. I can do this all from another room on a wireless remote—now why I need to do these things I’m not so sure...

Jack Spade Field Bag

Description
I suppose my product selections become somewhat redundant. Ultimately, I look for functional objects that are made well. I don't like to create waste and as such seek out timeless essentials that I can use indefinitely. I think Jack Spade bags really have this notion sewn-up. Their simple bags look fine even after a little banging around.

Marimekko Bath Towels

Description
As a child I couldn't quite understand why all of my Finnish relatives were so wrapped-up in Marimekko products. It felt as though the country had appointed the firm as its national design council. That being said, I'm no longer immune to the lure of their playful, yet refined, treatment of products. They are distinctive and typically seem to be well-made.
