I have spent the past fifteen (or so) years hand etching into granite memorials (specializing in portraits). Although very meaningful, it's not a "fun" artistic outlet. Almost a year and a half ago, I bought a laser to be able to expedite orders and lower cost for some customers. Alas! The creative juices began to flow during the horrors of learning such technology. I started creating jewelry out of leftover materials for myself, family, and friends with happy results. Using Swarovski Crystals (sparkle tickles me), a little paint, and some knowledge of jewelry design, I was actually having fun. I am sure I have at least a million more ideas to apply to new designs, and I can hardly sleep, with the thought of my brain bursting of possibilities.
