Industrial designer living in NYC

I have a degree in product design from Art Center Europe. I have been designing consumer and kitchen products for the past 9 years at Smart Design in New York City. Our design philosophy is to focus on user-centric design. This philosophy has given me insights from many different home environments and meeting all kind of different people. The thing I find fascinating with designing kitchen products is the intimate relationship people have with their products. There is this relationship and acceptance both good and bad that makes it such a challenge to design for. People have opinions on how you should do things and with what. I haven’t seen that relationship with another product category that I have designed for.
