Description
I just got Verizon's Wireless Broadband EVDO service for my MacBook Pro. While Verizon is a company that people often bitch about (frequently w/good reason), their EVDO service really rocks.
No more war-driving for open hotspots or getting charged outrageous day-rates by hotels or Starbucks. W/the EVDO card, my Mac flies along just nicely. While it is true that there are dead-spots w/the EVDO coverage (apparently the EVDO network only covers about 140 million pops- or people- whereas Verizon Wireless' overall network covers about 240 million), it still works plenty good in most places. The real test for me will be while I am in Hawaii for New Year's: if Iget good wireless coverage there, I am going to be one happy guy since it means less time in lame cybercafes and more time to surf, hang w/the family, and get work done in a beautiful setting. Less glamourously, VZW's EVDO will also make my biz travel easier

Description
These guys have built a fantastic online record label that sources some simply awesome dance music. I think their electronica, trance, and deep house artists are especially strong. I highly recommend you subscribe to the podcast as it will give you a good smapler of what they offer and you can then click-thru to buy the tracks.
I love listening to this stuff when I am grinding out an enduro work-out, whether that be running, biking, at the climbing wall. Also good for keeping my energy and focus when working and I need to be in my own world to concentrate

Description
This is a must-read magazine: smart, balanced, and easily-grokked. The Week is an overview of what happened the prior week (hence the name) and it tends to focus mostly on politics, foreign policy, and biz/econ, though they have some good lifestyle coverage too. The Week is one of the fastest, most comprehensive ways to keep on top of what is happening. The Week summarizes what other mainstream media pubs are saying so you get a left/right/center POV on the issues w/out having to wade thru a ton of reading. Great when you are super time-constrained and don't want your worldview to become too myopic. (via LyndaDelight)

Description
JC makes simply awesome boards. Amazing shape, lots of power, super responsive, cool designs/colors. The semi-gun is the tool needed for the bigger days when you need to set the rail and go. I love his boards and have surfed on them since I first tried one out nearly a decade ago.

No big surpises here- I love the Nano and use it extensively in my car to listen to podcasts and audiobooks. Because I don't have a direct connection to my car stereo, the audio quality in my car is not great for music but it is fine for spoken word stuff.
The software is also good in that it remembers where you were in a track so you can skip around betweenn audiobooks w/out losing your place.
