Recycled Aluminum Belt

Description

I am always on the lookout for fun and interesting accessories. Here, I've found not only a great looking piece but one that puts trash to use. It's made of recycled aluminum AND money goes to the New York Botanical Gardens. It's win, win, win.

A friend and I met up back home for the 4th of July last year and she had on these amazing sandals. I fell in love instantly. Then she told me about how comfortable they were with a single strap unit that always kept them fitting just right. That and the fact the person who turned her onto them had had them for 10 years, made them a must have in my book. I go through flip flops like there is no tomorrow. As for better sandals I've never found the right pair that stood up to the walking and running about I do in the summer. These are the solution. A little pricey but that only comes out ot 10 bucks a year lasting for 10 years, and you'd spend that or more on a new pair each year anyway.

DIY Bottle Cutter

Description

I first saw this a few nights ago. I'm moving into my first place with my bf and we're going to have our own office/art room. I was so excited to started searching for my next project. I came across this and thought it might be a lot of fun. It's pretty inexpensive so most likely will be for the non drinking glasses, but who knows what cold be created. I keep the most unusual wine bottles we come across but have always wanted to make a set of glasses if I could. Maybe it will work maybe not. Either way, it's an inexpensive and fun art project to try out.

IKEA | HOPEN | 6-drawer chest

First to recommend

Description

I'm moving into a small loft and our bathroom is absolutely amazing, but only has two drawers in the entire space.
So, looking for something with the same modern feel as the decor, I came across this piece. Perfect for all the little necessities needed in a female bathroom. LOL Plus the frosted glass matches that of our kitchen cabinets as does the wood tones. Plus, it's IKEA so it's not very expensive. Great all around.

City Bar | Pottery Barn

First to recommend

Description

A little on the pricey side so definitely going on my wishlist, not on my shopping list.
I love this all in one contained bar. We had a very ornately carved version while I was growing up and I loved the idea. But the ornately carved is not necessarily my style. I like cleaner lines.
This is perfect. I love all the storage for glasses and bottles. Plus it opens up for the mixing stage on top.
It's just beautiful.

Cardiff Tweed Upholstered Chair at World Market

First to recommend

Description

Josh and I are currently looking for new furniture for a small loft downtown. When we came across this chair in World Market, we were really excited. It has a wonderful tweed covering that upon touching is soft and not scratchy at all. Plus the color is perfect for hiding my cat's fur. I thought surely it would be uncomfortable. Boy was I wrong. It is honestly one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in. We're definitely getting this one. Now if we could just decided on the apartment. LOL

ChickadeeChirp electronic bird-sound toy

First to recommend

Description

Best toy ever for a smart cat. My cat Milo gets bored and looks at me like I must be kidding if I play with the fish on the string. But put this cute little chirping bird in a poster tube and he's happy for hours. He loves the challenge of getting the bird out of the tube. It's just over twice the length of his paw so it takes some maneuvering for him to catch it. Each time he bats the tube, it causes the bird to chirp and keeps his interest. The only thing I recommend is putting the bird in a hiding spot at night. It's not a pleasant noise to wake up to.

I love this gadget! So much fun. Although it only takes point and shoot cameras, if you get some of the newer models with 10 to 12 megapixels or more you can get some amazing shots. I can't wait to try one out!

Therapist Select Shiastu + Massaging Cushion

First to recommend

Description

For those times your significant other, masseuse, or mom isn't there to get that knot out, that you just can't reach. LOL
I got this for Christmas and with my work with my heavy camera, or on the computer I do get really horrible knots occasionally and can't always afford a visit to a masseuse. LOL
It has rolling and shiatsu. The shiatsu allows you to specify the exact spot you want to attack.
And to keep it from being detrimental, it shuts off after 30 minutes. It's saved my back so many times. LOL
