WINE CORK POPPER
First to recommend
Description
Make every bottle of wine as much fun to open as a bottle of champagne! The device has a needle on one end that is pushed into the cork. It is just over the length of the average cork. A canister of pressurized air is in turn inserted into the opposite end of the device. As you press down on the canister, it shoots the cork up out of the bottle. This in turn seems to make people dance around in giddiness. So much fun.

I love the shape of this umbrella. And what a great idea to be able to see where you're going!
(I think I've recommended something similar before but finally you can get that at your local target and not always have to go online!)

Mossimo Flap Clutch - Black

Description
I am not a purse carrier. I have a belief as a photographer that I should always have my camera with me. I know the one time I don't I'll see something amazing.
However, recently I've been told my camera bag is a little bulky to some things and so I'm stuck with nothing to carry my little things in. So, I went shopping for a purse. I found this on clearance and instantly felt it was perfect. I hate straps on purses, they always seem to slide off. Solution: Clutch! I also never feel like a very formal person or dressy person. Solutions: something in a soft suede that can go either way, just in case. It has a small zippered pocket on the outside, perfect for a small set of keys, or lip balm, etc. Then two large compartments on the inside for fun and business all in one. I love this purse already. I can't wait to take it out for a test run.

KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer with Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl - Tangerine

Description
What I was truly looking for was the Kelly Green mixer I had seen a few years ago, but this is my second favorite indeed! I love that you can add pops of color to drab little rented spaces with accessories and things you use everyday anyway!

A Gap in Nature: Discovering the World's Extinct Animals by Tim Flannery, Peter Schouten

Description
A wake up call on the weight the evolution of man has had on the earth and it's creatures. This is not to say some extinction is not natural or to weigh in at all on whether it was meant to be or not. This is a book that recounts the loss of so many species for sheer lack of understanding as well as lack of thought as to the creature's well being. It's startling how many times in very recent history, people have been excited about a creature, and shot it in order to take the remains in for examination, only to find it was the last specimen or next to last. What thought process in our society led us to believe it would be best to kill it in order to understand it? However you look at it, there have been some truly amazing creatures on this planet in the recent future. How many more will go before our kids are grown to see them?

Description
Once again, the combo of dark woods and silver caught my eye. I love the way they contrast one another and the natural feel the wood gives the cold metal. The addition of the striated wood in the center piece adds amazing amounts of interest. Definitely something I will have to get.

Description
I love opals and mother of pearl for the variance in color. I also love the combination of wood and silver. This necklace is a perfect length for a v-neck and adds the perfect amount of contrast with such currently popular dark woods and silver. To know it's all mad by hand, just makes it that much more special.
