Away With the Fishes Cards

First to recommend

Description

Absolutely adorable. Reminds me of the 'let them eat cake' quote *that may or may not have been actually stated). What persona wouldn't want to receive this? Of course, I would put my own personal touch on it, but it's got charm of it's own.

Elephant on Stool with Crown -Cards

Description

More elephants! Maybe I watched & read Babar too much as a child, but this little gray one is so cute for a birthday card. The message is particularly sweet, as is the eco-friendly nature behind the card.

Elephant Sleeping Friendship - Card

First to recommend

Description

Ok, who doesn't love an elephant? They're one of my favorite animals (other favorites include: cheetahs, giraffes, sea turtles, hummingbirds, seahorses, and garibaldi - if you were curious). This card features a sleeping elephant and is a perfect pick-me-up for anyone you know who's not having such a great day. Did I mention it's all kinds of eco-friendly as well? Yeah, recycled paper, reused products, and vegetable based ink.

Description

This card is simple, to the point, has an adorable illustration, and is eco-friendly (or as Papyrus likes to say and I may adopt, 'eco-savvy'). SI love that this card is made of 100% post-consumer waste, is printed on recycled paper, and uses vegetable based ink. Eco-friendly has gotten so chic.

Gold on Pink Journal

Description

Oh dear. In addition to this being pink with some glamorous gold foiling, it comes in a coordinating gift box. Consider me sold. Such a pretty little thing, that comes in a coordinating pretty little thing...I'll make room (despite having none) for both in my life.

I enjoy botanical drawings because they are scientific in nature and still capture the color and beauty of flora. This little mini calendar will surely brighten my months with a fresh new flower.

Crystal Jewel Slim 2009 - Agenda

First to recommend

Description

This one takes me back to when I was a kid. I can't tell you why except for the delicate silver glitter but nostalgia struck the second I looked at this more closely. It's actually a bit more practical than the art nouveau planner that I also love due it's slimness and multiple features that I know I'll need (like: hardbound cover, daily & monthly calendar, removable mini address book, dual ribbon markers, reference pages, and a pocket!)

Mucha 2009 - Agenda

Description

This cover is so rich, full of detail, and sparkly. I'm sure I'd end up with gold shimmer over anything that comes near this but I love it. It's fairly affordable (as agendas tend to be) and definitely on the list to consider for '09.

Organic Veggies and Crate

Description

Teach 'em young about veggies, organic, fair trade, and eco-friendly. Veggies are good for you with all their vitamins and minerals; organic means no pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals were used to grow the veggies; fair trade means that someone in a third world country is not getting taken advantage of for sustainably growing their crops; and eco-friendly means the Earth was though of when making, growing, etc these toy veggies. It's a mouthfull but I'm sure you'll find the right words :)
