About ianyolles:
I’ve been at Nau from day one, when we just had a few ideas and claimed The Urban Grind coffee shop in Portland as our first office. It’s been quite a ride, working with the team to breathe life into some core principles and beliefs that we’re all pretty passionate about. It many respects it’s been an exercise in design, meaning we’ve set out to design an entire enterprise from scratch with the idea of sustainability at the forefront of our thinking. For the most part, I’ve been focusing on the development of our marketing and external communication efforts.
I also come to our venture via my lifelong passion for the outdoors. Every other summer I still manage to squeeze in a northern river expedition in my native Canada. When winter rolls around I dust off my tele-skis to get as many backcountry turns as possible. In between I grab my surfboard or road bike to mix things up. My closest outdoor pals tease me relentlessly because for some unknown reason I have yet to hop on a mountain bike.
