I love the name. Still not sure what William Blake meant by "these dark satanic mills" but now I know the beer there is good.

Switch Plug Adapter

Description
There is no plug this little baby cannot master. Little light lets you know it's working before you plug in your expensive electronics.
Note it's not a transformer. So make sure the thing you're plugging in can handle the local voltage. These days, most devices with power bricks (laptops, cell phones, etc) can handle anything from 110-220 volts, but check to be sure. (via EDubs)

This is exactly what I've been looking for, for my panic room.

Stainless Electric Kettle

Description
Did everybody know about this? I feel like I did when I discovered the Internet. These electric kettles can boil a cup of water in like 30 seconds. Though, at 1500 watts, I believe a little alarm goes off at the nearest nuclear plant every time you do. Anyway, I'm sure there's a formula involving time and power that says a half minute to make a Nescafe is no worse than 10 minutes on my 30 watt laptop.
The Breville Michelle's sister acquainted me with is blue plastic, but this stainless steel model looks classier.

Mrs Crimble's Bakewell Slices

Description
Grocery shopping in Ireland, we discovered Mrs. Crimble's Bakewell Slices. I didn't know what a bakewell slice was, but gluten-free shoppers can't be choosers, so we decided to give them a try.
Turns out it's an almond-flavored pastry. These have an almond flavor that belie their small size, and that not-quite-bread texture that plagues much preprepared gluten-free food, but we still found them pretty addictive.

Smokehead Single Malt

Description
This was recommended to me last night by the proprietor of Ben Nevis Whisky Bar, here in Glasgow. Probably the most complex, smoky, powerfully rich scotch I've ever tasted. And not super-expensive. (via The Ben Nevis Bar)

It's attractive, reduces waste (compared to the alternatives), and high-tech. But does it work?

This sounds like a fun way to perfect your mix, on-the-fly. And they seem to be trying to build some sort of DJ community too.

Meagan Geer Light Boxes

Description
This is a nifty idea: a light box with an etched two-way mirror. When the light is off, you see the mirror etching; when the light is on, you see the contents of the box through the etching. (via Relish Design)
