Fallout 3, the newest addition to the Fallout game series is a great follow up to 2 of the best retro-future, post-nuclear war style games. Although that was a mouthful to say, I have to say that the description fits. This series, for those unfamilar, is based on an alternate reality of our world ...morethat is in the future chronologically, but in the past, culturally. What that means is, that Fallout has been known for its 1950s style environment in a post nuclear war era in the future. Its an odd, twisted environment but a very creative one. The two first games set the series to be a cult-hit and the 3rd by far is the best yet, and bound to take the game out of the cult following and into the mainstream, IMO.

"Elebits is a fun little first person game where you wander around different environments looking for and capturing hidden Elebits. If your not fond of simulated violence, check it out. You can toss stuff around and make a holy mess of the place looking for these cute electrified little critters."
"Yeah, you're so good at Call of Duty.... You got tons of achievements.... and you beat the game on ultra-difficult, but I'm still calling you out you wuss.
Strap on this gaming vest and you'll feel every hot round coming into your body as if it was a punch to the gut. After a few rounds hit your stomach, you might more careful charging that machine gun nest I've taken.
Now I have to get one..."
"This game is supposed to be brilliant/revolutionary/everything else. All I keep hearing about is Bioshock's new revolutionary level layout system - prepopulated maps with AI that lets your enemies roam freely. No two games will ever be played the same way. I think this AI in all our games would be welcomed. That way I can just keep playing Halo 3 and not memorize where the White Elite shows up..."
