Because I didn't shop around and bought the first sturdy-looking, totally geeky laptop case that I stumbled upon, I'm always lusting after something more stylish. This robot laptop bag is a great color, nice and shiny, and fun without being loud and obnoxious. In fact, I know a number of women that would carry this around like a purse! (via Shiny Shiny)

Not that you need a bag for every occasion, but this looks like a fun option for travel days. The bag is adorned with safety instructions (like those little fold-out cards you're supposed to read before take off), and is easier to carry through the airport than some bulky case. (via Shiny Shiny)

Description
Currently this is just a concept, so you can't buy it yet, but I will be the first one in line when you can. I love my laptop, but it seems silly to haul around something that's 6 or 7 pounds when you could have this ultra-light, ultra-thin composed of 2 sheets of thin glass. It relies on holograms for the keys and the screen, and the screen becomes transparent when not in use. Amazing. (via Crave)

Description
I work on my laptop all day, so I find nearly anything computer-related at least mildly interesting and/or amusing. This clock, in particular, cracked me up. I think it'd be funnier if it was a random key (like a letter or number), but nevertheless, it'll certainly turn more heads than whatever random kitchen clock you've been using for years. Description
Laptops are so prevelant nowadays (and such a stanard for the modern, social-networking, blogging-obsessed hipster), that the one you own is a statement about who you are -- just like your clothing, your car, or the neighborhood you choose to hang out in. Subsequently, if you're the kind of person that identifies with Ferrari, you might as well have a laptop that says as much. (via Crave)

This is an email service you can sign up for that claims to retrieve emails after you've sent them, and prevent recipients of your messages from forwarding your emails onto others. If it works, this is amazing. How many times have you clicked send, then started freaking out by what you accidentally left in an email? (via Shiny Shiny)

If that sounds like you, check out the laptop wallet. It comes complete with a little strap that makes it virtually impossible to do something dumb and drop your most-epensive portable gadget. Description
While reading the blog where I found this, I heard a voice in the distance. I couldn't quite make out what it was saying, and then there was a long silence.
When I looked up, I realized that my girlfriend had been talking to me for a couple minutes, and had asked me a question (that I obviously didn't respond to).
I'm sorry to say I was "facehooked." (via swissmiss)

Description
I have a three-year-old, so I spend a lot of time flying kites. As much as I'd like to think that I can look manly helping her fly a pink unicorn kite, chances are I don't.
Hence, this cursor kite. Sure, it's a little nerdy, but the idea is hysterical -- plus, I think it's time I took a stand on this whole kite-flying thing and got something that I think looks cool.
Besides, it looks enormous, and who doesn't like flying enormous kites? (via swissmiss)

Description
Think you kid's ready to start learning how to use a computer, but aren't quite ready to set them loose on your laptop? Here's the gadget for you.
I don't know what 4-year-olds are into these days, but when I was a kid I would've loved anything that had Superman on it -- and the cool thing about this, is that instead of buying the kid some random piece of crap that happens to be adorned with Superman's image, you can get them something useful, that will help them learn.
Pretty cool. (via Neatorama)

Description
We live a thousand miles away from my folks -- which never seemed to matter, but now that I have a daughter, it's huge. I thought about trying to use webcams so my daughter and parents could have little video conferences, but the chances of that actually working are small.
If that sounds like you, this Personal Video Phone might work. You'll have to pay $15/month for the service, and it's way more expensive than a webcam -- but if you're not technically inclined, it might just be worth it. (via productdose)

Description
This is another great space saver for your home office. You can have a comfy chair to sit in when you're meeting or talking on the phone, and it converts to a chair/table combo for when you're working on your laptop.
Beyond being clever, what's more important is that this allows you to ditch your desk -- which is a huge space-saver. Because if you're working from laptop, what's the point of a big clunky piece of furniture? (via Treehugger)

To go with the penguin mouse I mentioned earlier (http://www.thisnext.com/item/AFED4A8C/3DBDD792/Penguin-Computer-Mouse) here's another geek chic product for anyone who can't stand to look like a techie even though their house is full of gadgets (don't worry, I'm the same way).
It holds up to 1 GB of memory, which -- unless you're making feature films on your laptop -- is all you'll need to transport files, photos, or whatever you're transferring from home to work to wherever.
Plus, it's cute. (via Popgadget)
