Description
This is a great piece of furniture from a company that's generally a safe bet when it comes to children's stuff. Toddler beds generally look either cheap, or boring -- this is neither. Check it out when your little one is ready to move out of the crib. (via Apartment Therapy)

If for no other reason, this is great because it takes the boring old $1 patio chair you've seen a thousand times at Wal-Mart, and makes it just a little classy. (via swissmiss)

OK, this bench is $3500. But it is amazing. I love the design, I love the rounded shape (for more comfortable seating), and I love the fact that the designer who created it only makes sustainable furniture. I would be ecstatic to have this in my home. (via productdose)

Nothing says "I'm a bad ass" like furniture made from old airplane parts. These stylishly-designed pieces are crafted completely from aviation salvage. The site doesn't list any prices, which means you probably can't afford it -- but just in case you're totally loaded, check it out. (via Boing Boing)

Admit it, your kid needs to start picking up after themselves. Chances are, they'll be more likely to remember to keep their clothes off the floor if they have their own little clothes tree to put them on. These are fun shapes, cool colors, and not made of plastic. Awesome! (via Babygadget)

Not that I'd normally recommend dropping almost $1,300 on a coat rack, but this is a really nice coat rack. Besides, if you live in super-open loft space, it's essential -- and adds a little homey feeling to the place. (via Apartment Therapy)

Description
I'm a big fan of any home item that's dual purpose. If you can store things where you sit (or where you sleep, or whatever), it's a bonus. Most of have more stuff than we have space for, and living in clutter sucks. Plus, I like the design of these seats/storage boxes -- very cute, and patterns that back in big way. (via swissmiss)

If the name of this chair alone doesn't make you want it, I don't know what will. It's voice-activated, it massages you, and it looks like something Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget would hang out in to devise evil plans of world domination. Mwa ha ha! I love it. (via Shiny Shiny)

Description
Love having picnics and eating outside? We're about to enter the time of year when that'd be an incredibly uncomfortable endeavor. However, with this table you can capture the feeling whenever you want -- in your hosue. Normally I'd never recommend putting a picnic table indoors (who wants to feel like they live at a park?), but this is just stylish enough to pull it off. (via poppytalk)

OK gamers, this is for you. Sure, it looks a little childish -- and granted, it's probably better for kids -- but I think it'd work just as well as a fun addition to a grown-up's loft. The point is, they're Tetris pieces -- GENIUS. (via Gizmodo)

As I've mentioned before, it can be incredibly difficult to find furniture that feels a little classical, while still maintaining a modern sensibility. After all, no one wants to live in grandma's house or some futuristic space pod. This storage set from Wonk finds the perfect balance. (via Apartment Therapy)

Even if you're no longer living it up in you swanky bachelor pad, I think it's important to have a least one or two pieces that say: "a man lives here." Depending on her taste, she probably won't let you keep it in the living room, but for your basement getaway, your office, or your home theater/media Mecca, this piece will add a touch of style and sophistication. It can be incredibly difficult to find furniture that finds that balance between modern and tradtional. Every time I'm out shopping, I feel like I'm either stuck with stuff my parents had when I was growing up, or some ultra-modern, metal thing that looks like it should part of a loft in Brooklyn. Oh dear goodness, this is the freakiest, scariest thing I have ever seen. If the Alien movies don't give you nightmares, this table will.
That said, I can't but love it. No one will ever forget your house parties, or be at a loss for things to talk about when they're eating off your table that's supported by the sci-fi demon of death. (via Neatorama)

Description
We live in Austin, where home prices (and rent) are ridiculous. You have to pay insane amounts of money for fairly small spaces if you don't want to move waaaaay out into the suburbs. So we're always trying to save as much space as possible.
That's why I love this bookshelf/hidden home theater. It allows you the luxury of a big screen without taking up an entire room. (via Geeksugar)

OK, first I have to warn you: this chair is not cheap. In fact, it costs more than I paid for my car. That said, it's made of laminated layers of wood then shaped by hand, so it's both beautiful and (probably) incredibly comfortable. If you have the means, it could be an amazing piece for your home. Despite my attempts to interest her in sports, bugs, etc, my daughter loves playing with baby dolls and kitchen toys -- go figure. The least I can do is find her stuff that isn't designed to be as cheap, loud, and poorly-made as possible. Check out this cool modern set from Hase Weiss -- the product page is in German, but follow the via link for more info from Babygadget. (via Babygadget)

Alright dudes, this one's for you. Anything in stylish brown leather says: "I'm the most-sucessful bachelor you know," so if that's the impression you're trying to make, this is perfect.
Plus, you can store stuff inside. Useful for wine glasses and a bottle of red for a smooth transition into the romantic part of the evening -- or a good quick to cram all the unwashed clothes you left all over the living room just before she showed up unanounced. (via productdose)

OK, in practice, this might be kind of annoying. I've had my fair share of cutesy storage stuff around the house, and -- while it looks cool -- they're not worth it if they don't keep your house clean.
That said, if you don't have tons of books, and a relatively empty room, this is a fun way to keep your books in order and fill up the room with something fun. (via Apartment Therapy)

This is a nice take on an old classic. No nursery is complete with a rocking chair in the corner, but in a more modern home these tend to look out of place (unless they're really, really nice).
But this chair will not only fit right in, it's design allows you to rock like you've never rocked before. Pretty rad. (via productdose)

Description
This is another great space saver for your home office. You can have a comfy chair to sit in when you're meeting or talking on the phone, and it converts to a chair/table combo for when you're working on your laptop.
Beyond being clever, what's more important is that this allows you to ditch your desk -- which is a huge space-saver. Because if you're working from laptop, what's the point of a big clunky piece of furniture? (via Treehugger)
