Mac Pro Quad/Oct Core RAM
First to recommend
Description
The Mac Pros are great machines. However sometimes you just need a little more ram then you started with. If you purchase your RAM from Apple you pay a huge premium. Consider - for 16GB of RAM (8x2GB) Apple charges $3500 but if you buy the memory directly it costs $1040. You pay 336% EXTRA to have Apple put the ram into your machine. Crazy! If your happy working with the insides of a computer you would, naturally, want to install your own ram. Apple is not directly forthcoming with the memory specifications. After taking a Mac Pro apart I found they use : DDR2 PC2-6400F-555 RAM, or to say that in English [sorta] DDR2 800Mhz Fully Buffered CAS latency of 5-5-5. The link is direct to Kingson where you can order this memory, but any size of memory will work so long as you purchase in pairs [two separate RAM chips].

Brawndo - The thrust mutilator. It's got electrolytes.
No longer will you have to suffer the indignities of water, like from the toilet. You can mutilate your thirst in the civilized fashion.

Battle Wheels

Description
This is a cute little RC controlled car. It has damage panels that fall off in battle to indicate levels of pain. Its a very cool idea. Unfortunately the toy does not live up to the hype. The cover art prominently displays the arms, weapons, and shields as major parts of the toys functionality. The torso is not motorized and cannot be controlled with the remote. The best that can be hoped for is to spin the whole car to get the arms to swing. The mace often gets caught under the car and impedes movement. The packaging is elaborate and took me 20 minutes to open without damaging, though if you power through it you could be up and running in 10. A screw driver is required. The device requires both AA and 9V batteries. The battery covers are not permanently attached to the device, and as all parents know, will be lost permanently within a week. The battle damage panels are similarity not attached. The car radio frequency is not changeable [well, I suppose if you had a soldering iron and a crystal it is] and you need to pay attention to which units you try to combine for interference. Adults would not enjoy this toy, and would be better served with more complex fair. Not a good toy for someone who has other RC devices [they would expect too much]. All that being said, its probably a good toy for a child around 10 years old. It's always fun to cause mayhem ramming cars into things. A decent buy at $30 dollars, worth a couple hours of playtime with the right child.
I look forward to their next generation, and anticipate a greater degree of control.

Para gliding tandem lesson gift

Description
Give the gift of flight. People can be hard to shop for, and some people are just hard to please. If you can't make them happy and you cant give them what they want, at least give them something memorable. This is a gift certificate to Torry Pines Glider Port for one tandem session. Your vic^B^B^Bfriend will experience the joy of running toward the edge of a 300' cliff and jumping off. One of the most scary and exhilarating experiences possible. If your in the greater San Diego area its defiantly worth considering. It's relatively inexpensive at $175/session.
