My Info

About Me

Other than contributing my two cents to RealTalk L.A. the hip new socially conscious magazine launched by cult hero Jay Levin of L.A. Weekly fame, I'm currently writing and illustrating various projects coming soon to a store near you... Revelations from a Park Bench (or Teach Yourself Channelling), The Adventures of Spiro Wiro & Friends Into Several Remote Regions of the Otherworlds and the Tale of the Broken Cock-a-doodle. I recently returned from Italy where I collaborated as a co-writer/translator on an Italian screenplay. I'm also collaborating on the film 'Alba Chiara', for which I'll be playing a lead role in summer 2007. I'm into cryptozoology, Mah Jong, vintage 125 Primavera Vespas, and making snowglobes... interests which will most likely change by the time I finish typing this.

What is the next...

Purchase you’ll make?

Eventually: an adult to handle my business affairs. Immediate: a Russian Samovar, a snowglobe kit & some q-tips.

Trend in design?

disappearance of electrical cords (wireless everything) + refined electronic aesthetics with elegant interfaces Thank God and thank Apple

Car you’d like to own?

The one designed for Secret Agent 2007 Dick Smart: a 1967 Vespa Alpha which turns into a helicopter and a submarine.

Big step you’d like to make?

one big enough to see the ocean from the round window in my loft

Fad that will fade?

All of them do eventually - preferably News as Entertainment.

Vacation you’ll take?

The downside of living as though I'm always on vacation is that I don't get to take one: Bologna & Rome, Italy to collaborate on a movie. Alexandria, Egypt to see the new library.

Thing you’re going to fight for?

rebates on my flat screen and the right to vote on a machine not owned by Republican interests.

Secret that’s going to leak?

George Bush and Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are identical twins separated at birth. Donald Rumsfeld's squint is due to jock itch.

Hollywood blockbuster going to be about?

All the unemployed U.S. union workers will dig a massive tunnel to China to set up an "underground railway" to rescue all the enslaved Chinese workers. (starring Tom Cruise's Super Progeny)

Life you’ll lead?

Hopefully life will lead me.

Fountain of youth?

Spaghetti, Prosecco, poppy seeds, books, games, swimming in the underwater preserve at the Cove

Book you’ll read?

Le Ambizioni Sbagliate by Alberto Moravia; McSweeney's Quarterly Concern #13; Travel book on Alexandria, Egypt; Inside the Victorian Home; Burning Your Boats by Angela Carter

Thing that will change the world?

Podcasts - blowing the lid off corporatized entertainment venues and content- allowing the eruption of mini-entertainment empires (radio, film, video, tv) ruled by the individual. Also, Netflix, e-libraries and personal vertical takeoff-&-landing vehicles (VTOL)

Guilty-pleasure food in which you’ll indulge?

"Guilty" and "pleasure" should never be hyphenated and never ever linked! ... then God created porcini mushrooms and the Piemontese created Barolo

Person to whom you’ll say, “I love you”?

If I make it to Hell, to Baudelaire, Oscar Wilde and the one million "witches" sent there by the Inquisition.
