Striped Ribbon Dress

Description

Even when I'm not wearing straight out lolita, I still like to have elements of lolita style in my daily style. This black and white striped dress can be poufed and accessorized out to be lolita wear (it is Victorian Maiden after all), but I could see wearing it places where a petticoat isn't always going to fit (bot physically and metaphorically).

Description

I might get kicked out of the lolita community, but I'm really not a big fan of Peter Pan collars (seriously). So I watch for the rare blouse that doesn't have that big floppy collar. Blouses like this one. It has everything I look for in a lolita blouse, pintucks, lace and puffy sleeves!

Description

Sadly, my eyelashes as hopelessly short...so I don't leave the house without mascara and I'm always trying new mascara hoping it will work. The last mascara I tried before LashBlast had lycra in it (I was desperate). But then on a whim I picked up the LashBlast mascara and oh boy does it work. I'm not a makeup engineer, but I think it's those tiny bristles. (via FashionKitty)

Floral Cameo Pendant

Description

Some cameos are expensive, some are not. All are pretty. This cameo isn't on that belongs in a museum, but it's almost better that way. With nicer cameos I save them for the right time, the perfect moment. With my cheaper cameos, I just have fun and throw them on a ribbon to make a choker, or pin on my purse to add that little bit extra. With a black background, white floral centerpiece and silver edge. This cameo would certainly get lots of use.

I'm in love with these boots! They meet all my boot requirements. They go up to the calf, are black, are leather, are laced, are heeled and have fun details. Look at that custom heel. Look at the decorations near the top. These boots are amazing, amazing, amazing and I am in MAJOR love!

MISSEY BOW RED LEATHER

Description

These are totally cute. I love the mid height heel (comfortable enough to wear around all day), the bow (jazzing up an otherwise basic shoe without being overwhelming) and the whole shoe package. Even better I can see the shoes either being useful for the office, a fifties inspired outfit or just when I'm feeling playful.

KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer

My birthday party was last night and my friends got me the best gift ever. A KitchenAid stand mixer. I'm in serious love with KitchenAid stand mixers. I've used a few in cooking and baking classes before and they've been fantastic. Now I own (or will) one. The only question I have is, empire red or onyx black?

Gold and Black Vintage embellished Steampunk Parasol

Description

I have a weakness for steampunk and a weakness for parasols. Perhaps it because I burned like a marshmellow tossed in a fire. Who knows. I do know I like this parasol. It's black with black lace, gold embellishment and a gold fringe. Magnificent!

Description

Purses I own seem to last forever, I do buy good purses, but I also take care of them. Messenger or school bags, I'm not so reverant with. I need a strong messenger bag and this bag fits the bill. It's reinfornced and padded so my baby macbook doesn't get hurt (poor thing! ;-) ). I like the organization pockets too, after all organization is something that is good for anyone (and especially me!)

Description

Black, white and yellow. It's utterly spring and summery. It's utterly gorgeous. And with yellow being such a hot trend this season, it's utterly spot on. The yellow flowers and print on the invitation itself is very bold and yet with the classic black and white response card it's also easy for guests to write their response on.

So, I was poking around on Etsy looking for a gif for my mother's birthday when I got distracted by something shiny. (Don't worry I wasn't of thinking of getting this for her.) This bustier is amazing! With red stripes, an alice in wonderland print, heart buton and black ruffles it's definitiely a one of a kind piece. I'm thinking with a pair of jeans, or maybe a denim skirt.

Description

A few years back my stepmother got my me the Lily Pulitzer cookbook. The recipes were nice of course, but the best part was the pictures. Old pictures of Lily from back when she was younger. One of the most memorable pictures of the book was one of her in an off the shoulder maxi dress, she looked so alive, so happy and the dress looked so right. This dress reminds me of it. It's a maxi dress that in the basic black, white and gray...except for that splash of pink. And it's that splash that make all the difference in the world.

So, I'm a bit of geek. My favorite show recently has been Firefly (yes, I know it's been a long time since it came out, I like rewatching it). One of my favorite lines in it is "ooh!, captain can I have money for slinky dress?", it's said very adorably. This is definietly a slinky dress. It's very fluid, very sexy and with the tiny cutout detail and beading...I think it hits all slinky qualities.

Description

I can't wait for it to get warm enough to go to the lake (no ocean out here, the lake is the closest I get to the beach). Coverups for the beach can leave you looking less than stylish when you head out to grab dinner after a day at the beach. Not this one though! I'm loving the polka dots, the length and most of all....the price!
