Description

Did I just recommend $150 nails? Oh, yes...yes I did. These nails are so over the top, so insane, so covered in decoration that they had to be mentioned. In fact with all the excess on the nails, I think they might be perfect when you don't want your hand to vanish in waves of ruffles and frills...or maybe when you want your nails to stand out starkly against a plain back drop. Besides how often can you say had miniature angel wings on your nails.

What perfect wedding china! Gold and ivory combine in a starburst pattern that is subtle enough it would never take over a table, just contribute to a pretty setting and coordinate with any number of table scenes (navy? yep. silver, of course. white, obviously. and so on).

Description

Lolita skirts usually have a very standard shape, and while I own quite a few of the standard shape, I like those that are a bit different, those whose decoration comes from the style as well as the beauty velvet and the medieval scene on the front. It's a skirt that transports you to a different place and isn't that what fashion is all about?

Description

I wish I could read what exactly this skirt said. I love the deep jewel colored velvet and the gold foil lettering. It's a little bit longer than a normal lolita skirt, but I like that. Everything about this skirt whispers excess which is oh so appropriate for a label named after books by the marquis de sade.

14k Floral Cornelian Shell Cameo Pin & Pendant Combination

Description

One of the things I love the most about this cameo is the fact that it doesn't have the trim. It's just shell and flowers. It's more casual this way, more fun this way. I think this totally compliments the earthy nature of the floral subject of the pendant that can also be used as a pin.

I'm of a mixed mind on these watches. On one hand I think they are cleverly cute and slightly adorable. On the other while they would be perfect for lolita wear and vintage inspired outfits they might be a little overwhelming for everything else. So the other day I was out of hair ties, I lose them amazingly fast. I was desperate to put my hair up and I couldn't find a hair tie or headband at all (I'm in the midst of packing). I did however find one of my old hair combs from way back when. And lo and behold it worked. Ever since then I've been wearing my hair combs (got back in middle school when I had super long hair) at least once a week. I love this hair comb.

Mountain Colors Homespun Yarn

Description

A handful of skeins of this yarn is hanging out in my purse too. It's mostly wool (so it's warm!) but has a tiny bit of silk which makes it shiny. I like the color changes in this yarn, which made it perfect for the finished scarf I made out of it and makes it perfect for the hat I'm currently knitting.

This is my new purse. Except it's pink. But the design is the same. I love it. It holds a decent amount (it's been holding my knitting and some papers and everything I need including a lunch last week). It's cute and has those little details that always hook me (the red twist, the gold rings, etc.). Plus it's just a fun springtime purse!

Ooh! It's oh so cutely pink and oh so cutely girly. I'm in love with these pink wedding invitations. With a pink themed wedding these invitations get guests in the right frame of mind. Awesomely awesome and fun. These invitations probably work best on a spring or summer wedding where pink is a likely color to be seen.

As much as I love sandals in the spring and summer, occasionally it's just a little bit too chilly to wear them here in early spring. For cases like this I like to bring out a bright ballet flat. Description

As many heels as I have in my wardrobe, I also like flats. And while in the fall and winter my ballet flats get a work out, in the spring and summer it's sandals, thongs and flip flops. These bright yellow thongs are amazingly bright, fun and they look comfy. They kind of look like those shoes that you get to match an outfit and then without realizing become the shoes you wear all summer long.

Tres Cute! It's a simple pink bag (your dress will no doubt be complex enough) with heart and bow detailing. It's an over the arm bag, but that's okay. I've always liked over the arm bags, they let me feel pretty and like a lady who lunches. I like the deceptive size of this bag too, it will fit a lot which can be helpful for your wallet (for the tea room), your camera (for pictures) and your sewing kit (in case you need an emergency touch up).

Yellow is really one of those colors that looks good on everyone. Or at least on most. This dress is a nice solid summer dress that gets a whole bunch more interesting since it's made of bright yellow and gold! I'm thinking paired with a cardigan this would be a good Church dress too, since it hits at the knee.

I realize that October is a long way away, but if you are going to have a good costume, you have to have a good lead in time. This long maxi dress is a basic black dress with a flip. The bold gold and turqoise that decorate the bottom on the dress make it a far more interesting dress. I'm thinking maybe with some gold or turquoise jewelry?

These may possibly be the fanciest fake nails I've ever seen. I'd oddly drawn to them. Underneath all the jewels you have a variation of french manicure with the body of the nail being lavender instead of pink. On top of the nail, you have a variety of gold and jewels. I could see them being very very fun.

Printed Turtleneck

Description

I think printed turtlenecks should have caught on more. A turtleneck is just as nice as a long sleeved shirt, except is can be warmer! Plus, I adore the crinkle neck on this turtleneck. It's an intense pattern, but that can but fun sometimes too.
