Description

Though I'm mainly a classic girl, I find I tend towards sweet in the spring and summer. This JSK lets me be classic with a hint of sweet. It's a very classic style, but looks perfect for summer and in that baby pink it would be slightly sweet, just the way I like it.

OPs and I have an interesting relationship. Abstractly I like them, but in actuality I own a closet full of skirts and jsks and one little OP. However, when I came across this OP I think I might have found one that I want to take home. Call me crazy, but it's the turquoise one that I like...after all, unlike a skirt or jsk, it's not about mixing and matching, it's about making a statement.

It's a little early to be looking at winter clothes, I know. But I saw this Victorian Maiden OP and was in love! It would be a perfect special event dress. I'm loving the gray, but then again I always love gray. Also, if you are going to event where your lolita wear wouldn't be welcome I think this dress (and a lot of Victorian Maiden's stuff actually) can be made to walk that line gently.

Description

Even when I'm not wearing straight out lolita, I still like to have elements of lolita style in my daily style. This black and white striped dress can be poufed and accessorized out to be lolita wear (it is Victorian Maiden after all), but I could see wearing it places where a petticoat isn't always going to fit (bot physically and metaphorically).

Capes are oh so hot in fashion right now, and I've never been one not to combine the modern fashion trend with my lolita wear. Plus, I've always been a fan of capelets. I'm a big fan of the dress under the capelet too. The pintucks and buttons just seem so elegant and understated.

It's no secret I love retro things. This wool fishtail skirt would be something I wanted if it was just grey wool, to add appliquéd flowers to the 'tail' make it an unforgettable skirt. Plus, it's made to your size and custom garments always look better than off the rack.

I might be wearing yellow and black, but I certainly don't look like a bumblebee! In fact, I like this yellow and black combination....it's a charming little spring/early summer dress. A buttery polka dot, with black tulle and yellow ribbons screams 'aren't I cute'! And the dress has a right to be pleased with itself, it is!

Yellow is really one of those colors that looks good on everyone. Or at least on most. This dress is a nice solid summer dress that gets a whole bunch more interesting since it's made of bright yellow and gold! I'm thinking paired with a cardigan this would be a good Church dress too, since it hits at the knee.

Description

Gingham, cherries and strawberries combine for this glorious summer print sundress. Perfect for a picnic or fair it's absolutely adorable. I really like the larger cherry and strawberry trim around the bottom, the little ribbon bow on the front and comfortable back.

Candy House High Waist Pinafore Dress

Description

I like the high waist of this dress, makes it seem very baby doll-esque. Perfect for the Sweet Lolita. A bow sits right below the chest and there is a cute lace up on the top of the dress. The print is child like without being childish and the back of the dress lets a little bit of white peek out.

This dress screams summer to me, but then I've always had a thing for polka dots. It's actually a dress et with a skirt and corset top, but I love how it looks as a dress. From the lacy tiers and frills to the ribbon and sheer boldness of the red polka dot, it fantastic. There is also a baby pink and baby blue version if that's more your speed, but I've never been scared away by red.

So, one of the things I try to keep in mind when purchasing Lolita wear, is whether or not I can work it into another outfit. Some things are Lolita only, but sometimes, usually with blouses or coats, I can wear items to work or with my favorite black dress or just out. Call me crazy, but I think I might actually be able to wear this skirt to work. It's highwaisted with a mermaid flare and the cutest little bow accents.

Want a Lolita dress that easily switches from summer to winter? This dress is amazing for that. You could wear it all by it's lonesome, with a short sleeves shirt or a long sleeves blouse...all look equally good. I like the almost baby doll empire waist. This dress is more of an elegant Lolita look, but still could be made gothic with the right accessories.

It's nice to see blue come out and play this season. I like seeing all the different shades. Like this shade, which isn't quite dark and isn't quite light. Never the less it makes a good summer dress. The peek a boo key hole is sultry without being slutty and the length (knee length) means it's a dress that keeps it's cool.

One of things I've loving about the blue trend is that in order to let the blue shine, a lot of the dimension in a garment is being done through shaping. Take for instance this dress, there isn't a bit of embroidery, pattern or sparkle throughout the entire dress. However, there is a nicely shaped dress with a faux bubble. It drapes, it's pretty and it's blue.

I'm not sure why but this dress vaguely reminds me of a stewardess. Since I'm in love with airline travel that makes it an awesome dress. I like the length (just at the knee), the short sleeves, the pockets and the row of buttons. All in all an amazing dress.

Every women is a bit of a mystery waiting to be unwrapped and what better way to show that then by wearing this off the shoulder bow dress from Jean Paul Gaultier. This blue is so different than most blue we see and the dress is innocent and pretty...a nice contrast to the skin baring ware most people dress up in today.

You might not be a printer, but that doesn't mean grayscale isn't still fun. This fun little chiffon grayscale dress is made better by the addition of itty bitty polka dots. I'm also really loving the straps on this dress it just looks like a fun and yet solid dress that is awesomely cute!
