MISSEY BOW RED LEATHER

Description

These are totally cute. I love the mid height heel (comfortable enough to wear around all day), the bow (jazzing up an otherwise basic shoe without being overwhelming) and the whole shoe package. Even better I can see the shoes either being useful for the office, a fifties inspired outfit or just when I'm feeling playful.

Description

As many heels as I have in my wardrobe, I also like flats. And while in the fall and winter my ballet flats get a work out, in the spring and summer it's sandals, thongs and flip flops. These bright yellow thongs are amazingly bright, fun and they look comfy. They kind of look like those shoes that you get to match an outfit and then without realizing become the shoes you wear all summer long.

I adore these shoes. Bright yellow with dark pin flowers and a little crystal detail on the peep toe...these pumps are a having a fun time and I feel like I should be too. A four inch heels means they aren't too bad walking in, though I wouldn't recommend a leisurely stroll in them.

Maybe it was just us, but we rocked converse in the eighties. My school had a pretty strict dress code, but as long as your shoes covered your toes you were fine. Shoes like this would have been perfect to express yourself. Why not indulge in a bit of nostalgia and just plain fashion fun and take them home to work into your wardrobe now? I think I might.

I'll be honest, I don't tend to like tie dye. It's a special tie dye that can get past me. Shoes seem to have a greater chance of getting past my tie dye sensors. These brown suede tie dyed pumps would work perfectly with jeans and a tan or brown shirt. I think I might forgot I hate tie dye for these.

A few years back Target was selling these leopard print vinyl shoes. They were cute but didn't last long (that vinyl scuffed!). These leopard and zebra print pony hair pumps look like they might (a) be less obnoxious and (b) be more sturdy--two big wins in my book.

Some days I wished I lived somewhere a little bit warmer. There will invariably be snow on the ground when St Patricks day hits for me. And snow and ice, especially when combined with green drinks and green beer means shoes that are least semi-sensible. If I lived some place warmer though, these shoes would totally steal my St Patrick's Day outfit. Wooden platforms, with metallic green leather straps and an immense green flower. They are absolutely a statement. Plus, they are Betsey Johnson, so they have that cute little bottom with golden heart and floral sole.

These shoes are so over the top, so insane that I love them. At first glance they are standard black peep toe sling backs, but then you see the little flecks of gold and then you see the pouf--that glitter and tulle bow. Houndstooth for the win! Houndstooth means I always love it. Add a little bit of red, beading and flowers and though the pieces make the shoes sound like they might be old fashioned...they are really quite charming. In fact, I'd call them very anti-old fashioned. For some reason I see them with skinny stovepipe pants and almost punkish.

The first memory I have of my stepmother is a movie she took me to...it was Hocus Pocus. I know I should have been scared, but my only thought was those shoes are awesome! And what is a better harbinger of autumn than the pointy toed pilgrim heels. Now, I'm sure that the pilgrims didn't wear shoes exactly like this, but they'd be awful fashionable if they did! I like the laces and the warm grey suede color. But best of all, I like how they can be worn with tights and the best skirt of the season.

My shoe closet explodes with black shoes, black ballet flats, black slingbacks, black pumps, black boots. Black pumps are the quintessential wardrobe accessory! And these black pumps have the Jimmy Choo seal of excellence (so to say). I love the tiny little gold ring at the toe and the slightly high heel. Perhaps 100mm isn't comfortable walking heel height, but they are perfect for slight jaunts around the office.

Oh Jimmy Choo, I love you. No matter what the year is, no matter what the fashion is, no matter what I always, always, always love the shoes that you make. They work for everything from casual to work. These shoes fall on the business side of the world and oh, how much better they make the business world. I love the comfortable height heel (a mere 80mm) and the basic black nature that has been spiced up by the styling on the front of the pointy toe.

So I was back home for a wedding recently and I found...the shoes. Now, I love shoes. And these were patent wedges with little heart cutouts. I eventually left them in the store because I wondered how often I would actually wear them. These green croc slingback Manolos on the other hand would be worn constantly. Why, do you ask?

It may be covered in snow right now, but one of my favorite things about the house I'm in right now is the fact that it's about a block and a half from tennis courts. Tennis is just so fun, yes it's exercise, but it's also pretty and it's also about friends and it's also about just everything summer. I like the low cut of these adidas tennis shoes. And I'll be staring at their pivot point until the sun melts and I'll be able to it to the court.

My running shoes, while I love them, always feel so clunky when in kickboxing class. Maybe I should look at the sleeker city cousin to my running shoe, the cardio shoe. These burgundy cardio shoes from adidas wouldn't work for running, but inside the studio when I'm fighting imaginary opponents, or in any other of multiple of fusion classes. I like the faux asian inspired pattern on the fabric along with...the shiny shiny nature of the silver.

I'm starting to wear holes in both pairs of my athletic shoes, right near the pink toe. In short, I need to break down and enter in the long process to find the right running shoe. I like the idea and look behind these adidas bounce running shoes. Anything that makes me more springy on my feet is appreciated. And the pink is SO happy on these shoes. And if there is one thing I adore, it's a vibrant pink!

Amongst all of the shoes I own, it occurs to me that I own a large number of specialized shoes. These sporty mary janes are aching to be the next addition to the collection. They would be perfect yoga shoes (obviously not to wear while practicing) for the too and fro of getting to yoga. They also could be good for a walk in the park (they are better looking than sneakers).

Though I own far too many shoes. It always turns out that I get a favorite pair every season. Right now, I'm rocking a funky pair of ballet flats. But a summer staple has been a pair of strappy comfortable flip flips like this. I bought my current pair several years ago and they've since shaped to my foot, and the dog as chewed the edge of them, but I still wear them. I think it might be time to replace them and these pink (love you!) strappy flip flops look like just the thing.
