Katherine Cashmere Cardigan Sweater

Description

I was looking for a brown cashmere cardigan when I stumbled upon this glorious find. It's a bit expensive, but it's fine Scottish cashmere and made on a darling little island in Scotland (the Isle of Skye, last time I was there we stayed at this adorable little b & b called graceland). It's guaranteed to be high quality and it's guaranteed to be warm. Plus with a cut like it has, it's guaranteed to stay classic for years to come. I plan on pairing it with a cute floral circle skirt.

Description

Sweatshirts can be so boring and kind of plain. It's fun to be able to wear something that is more interesting. Something that is comfortable and causal, but still has that little something extra. I love this woven sweatshirt. Woven in the back and then in the front, it adds texture to an otherwise plain jane sweatshirt. Plus, the cut is a fun sweatshirt to start with!

Description

The internet is an interesting thing. I have friends I've never met in person and real life friends who I only talk to through it. It's great to see a book that is all about an old world craft (knitting) and connecting it to a digital age. This book has some of the best shared knitting projects I've seen. You can, if you feel ambitious do them all by yourself, or you can make them a project like the author did. And she got pieces from all over the world.

Description

Well, the eighties is famous for stripes and leg warmers. Put them together and you have the quintessence of the 80s. Well, maybe that's a little grandiose, but none the less they are fun. I have a hard time working leg warmers into daily wear, but I like them for working out in the winter and for 80s themed parties.

Description

I am looking forward to summer, but when I saw this coat my first (and only) thought was 'why isn't it cold yet!'. To say I'm in love is an understatement. Herringbone with big black buttons and those sleeves, the sleeves are what make me weak. It's such a pretty coat, it's such a coat that makes you want to put it on to escape the winter cold and it's coat that has me wishing it was winter.

Description

Last Christmas I learned to cable kit. I adored knitting the cables. It added dimension And this cable knit capelet looks warm and has such a nice three dimensional detail to it. I think camel gets forgotten far too often as an acceptable and glorious color. Camel fits so perfectly with black (so much of my wardrobe). And seems to bring out the itty bit of a tan that I have in the winter.

Some days a casual capelet is needed to throw over a pair of jeans and a black turtleneck. This layered knit black faux fur is just a nice warm, but not overwhelmingly warm layer. I think it would look food with long sleeves, nothing too short, otherwise it'll look funny. To tell you the truth, turtlenecks are the perfect under capelet fodder.

Rabbit fur is so soft and cuddly. Though I know I look like dorky in them, I have a pair of fuzzy rabbit fur earmuff that keep me nice and warm. How much better would a full rabbit fur capelet be? This white rabbit fur capelet has an air of innocence about it. And an air of snuffly warmth. White rabbit fur is just what fall needs..and makes this capelet feel vintage!

Fall is a time to be wrapped in the warmth of a blanket. Sadly, you can't go out wrapped in a blanket. This black, white and grey plaid capelet looks like it'll be as warm as a blanket without the lack of hands and without the utter lack of shape. Plaid always seems to be a perfect fit come the fall. And this capelet looks like it'll protect against the chilliest fall frost and keep you warm against the dampest rain. Plus it has a leather belt to keep nice and set.

I live in a city. There is a sidewalk in front of my house and tennis courts in the park about a block away. None the less, I love barn jackets. Love them. Bedding needs layers. Sheets, quilt, duvet (with fluffy down comforter) make up my bed. There was another fresh layer of snow on the ground when I awoke this morning. We just finished brunch, but the time will soon come to head out on for another lazy exploring day. At heart I'm a casual girl. As much as I love the sparkle, shine and the dress...on weekends I'd prefer to be kicked back in true religion jeans, a soft sweater and a pair of funky ballet flats. Losing my luggage has me re-examining my wardrobe. Instead of one of my myriad black jackets, this quilted barn jacket by burberry has that hint of traditional plaid n the cuff and collar with a nice pinkish purple-y outside. Perfect for a casual weekend (especially one on the coast!).

Burberry - SNOW BOOTS

Description

As much as I love my pretty heeled boots, I realize that they aren't the most practical for clomping around in the snow. These burberry red boots on the other hand look like they'd be ready for the iditarod or at least the stylish iiditarod. The red plaid is cut by cute little black laces, while the strong rubber sole will keep all the water out and your feet warm.

I've never lived in a state that doesn't touch the border of Canada...as such I like to keep warm without looking lumpy. Capelets for fall do just the thing!
