Not enough that supermarket HQ is my latest favourite site to browse great and appealing design pieces.... I want to shop there and redo the whole house.
Take this tile, for example. Simple and brilliant idea. Who really needs ugly key hooks on the wall when Design Glut's hookmaker tiles can be had? Honestly now.

Description

"Remember, you will die." , this message to the illiterati (otherwise, 'memento mori') spread out onto minute and hour hand, both constantly moving over the mirror-glas rim and dial. I admit this has a peculiar, if morbid, charm on its own - a completely new take on the term "Horology".

Description

If you don't know the designer Orike Muth yet (based in Hannover / Germany), then you really must get to know her. She's my hometown favourite!

She designs and screen-prints all fabric and papers at her inspiring studio in the Linden neighbourhood in Hannover; each item in her little shop and in her webshop is handmade.

These paper mâche boxes, egg- or heart-shaped, are the latest addition to the creative line over at the Muth House, and it's true eye candy!

You've seen vintage-style paper mâche easter eggs (which are adorable, btw.), right? Now what about these beauties? They make great decoration objects at every stylish household, too!

Oh, these hangers by Phil Cuttance are really so funny. Functional, unobstrusively black, sturdy-looking, and they add such a hilarious twist to the word "trophy".

This is a truly "rak be Israel" (only in Israel) thing: a wallet that comes in the shape of a Pita bread! Instead of filling it with falafel balls, salad and hamuzim (pickles), you just drop in your small change, keys, chapstick, and whatever else necessary belongings of yours.

Description

It's a bit funny -- looks like Americans have finally discovered NoaNoa; all the "design" blogs out there seemed to freak out over the Danish designer team in 2007.
Well, they've been around for quite a bit longer, they're truly European, and they've been a top attraction here (in Europe) for women who love to dress fashionable and "bohemien" alike.

Their spring 08 collection is online, and they're also redone their website. Navigation is a lot easier now, they have a lookbook, a movie of their spring 08 fashion show, and they're planning to bring employees' stories online. I like this very personal touch!

The spring collection has a bit of Empire, lots of soft looks, but also sportive touches, many beautiful accessoires, too. I can't wait 'til my next shopping tour!

p.b. If you can't find NoaNoa anywhere nearby, try to locate online shops that ship international or scout eBay for great finds.

Cool stuff! It's really not a paper cup, but a double-walled porcelain cup with a silicone top. Goes into the dishwasher and is -of course- reusable. Mother Earth likes lotsa! (via Design Milk)

Silbensalon is a German manufacturer of temporary wall tattoos (or decals, for that matter); the two owners, an interior designer and a fine artist, started their business in 2004 when "they invented the wall tattoo" (quote from their website). Browsing the site, you'll feel how much these two women love their business.

Choose your design from nine categories (e.g., dining area, salon, kids, love messages) and have them make your decal of choice in your colour of choice (choose from 15 colours). I love their Tiramisu recipe decal!

Don't like any of these? Just whip up your own via their on-site editor!
