About Me

I’ve been mountain biking since 1987 and I’ll be doing it as long as I physically can. I really got the mountain biking bug when I lived in Vancouver, Canada. I moved to California and the great weather allowed me to ride all the time. I used to be an avid racer and have competed in cross country, downhill, single speed and 24 hour races. I met my wife through biking and we settled in Santa Cruz to raise a family. Santa Cruz has some of the best trails in Northern California and I’m currently advocating opening more trails to mountain biking.
