As a girl, Geralin appreciated having quality over quantity; she was emphatic about keeping only one Barbie and never wanted any of Barbie's friends. Instead, her Barbie stayed home and organized her dream home & evening gown collection which was arranged in ROY G. BIV color-coded order (Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Indigo, Violet).

Today, Geralin is a Chronic Disorganization and ADHD specialist helping clients lead more productive lives in their homes and home offices. She enjoys helping demystify the art of getting organized and strives for excellence rather than perfection in all matters related to organizing. Her business, Metropolitan Organizing ® LLC focuses on SOHO (small offices, home offices) and residential organizing for solo-entrepreneurs.

She trains new organizers and those who wish to become professional organizers through NAPO, the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and her own Boost Your Biz program. In addition, Geralin has developed forms for professional organizers which are available for purchase on her website.

Geralin has been one of the organizing experts on the A&E Television Networks series "Hoarders" since it began 2009. In addition, she has been featured on The Fine Living Network and in numerous national magazines. Clients include professional athletes, politicians, artists and small business owners in the US, Canada and Europe.
