HP Officejet Pro L7580 Color All-in-One

First to recommend

Description

I bought this Officejet printer about a month ago to replace the aging one in our household our HP Officejet G85. While I was at my part-time job the HP rep informed me that a printer had gone clearance and that I should pick it up. I told him the main feature it had to do was be able to "talk" with my laptop so I could print without wires between. He told me it would do the job so I bought it that day.

When I got it home I waited about a week to set it up. It was a bit wider than my older model so we had to modify the computer desk aka Tear a piece out and then I was able to put the new printer in it's place and connect it to my router. The set-up in regards to software was a piece of cake. I didn't have any issues putting the software on my desk which is running XP or my laptop which is running Vista. The new HP printer did come with 3 different Software discs (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and MAC) which REALLY in my opinion was great.

After the software was up and running I tested out the new printer and it worked like a champ. The real success story was making sure my laptop would be able to talk to with. So after loading up the software on my HP dv9000 series laptop. I did a test, went down stairs and it was waiting for me:)

I also want to note that the printing speed is VERY fast. It was able to spit out 10 page paper under 3 minutes and that's including a color photo. The faxing feature is also very easy to understand. It loads the paper horizontally on top lid unlike my old printer where it loaded vertically.

Photo quality is very good in my opnion. The cartridges are suppose to last for a VERY long time. IT can do different types of paper sizes.

Supported paper sizes: Letter, legal, statement, executive, 3 x 5 in, 4 x 6 in, 5 x 7 in, 5 x 8 in, 4 x 10 in, 4 x 11 in, 4 x 12 in, 8 x 10 in, envelopes (No. 10, Monarch, DL).

Also has slots in the lower right hand corner take different styles of memory sticks: CompactFlash, MagicGate Memory Stick, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO, SD/MMC, Secure MMC, xD-Picture Card

Overall if you need a nice fax machine, strong enough to do the job at home this is my pick.

Sephora Metallic Maroon Bag Collection

Description

Great collection to stuff your makeup in as well as beautiful to look at upclose and afar. As previously mentioned from the first person who did this review there are four components: Large Handle Bag, Medium Cosmetic Case, Pencil Case, and a Flat Clutch. I own the whole collection. I use the Large Handle Bag to store my Lancome Skin Polishing and Radiance Renewing System and MD Skincare Alpha Beta® Daily Face Peel (Both with reviews as well). In my medium Cosmetic Case I store my Nars Eyeshadows, in my Pencil Case I store my make up brushes, and in my flat clutch I normally will put a few shades of different glosses depending if I need to change it up through out the day/evening.

Overall a great investment for those who want a matching set to hold their cosmetics and other makeup necessities.

Bose On-Ear Headphones

Description

Excellent pair of headphones that I use on my Sony PSP, Nintendo DS Lite, and even my Samsung T10 mp3 player. They are price a bit steep I will say but they are worth the money. They can collapse into a case that comes included with the headphones. One major gripe I normally have on headphones are the cords that connect to the player. In the past the cords have been very flimsy, weak, and easy to stretch and destroy. With the cord on these Bose headphones it is VERY reinforced and to me honestly unless you are purposely trying to destroy them or simply cut the wire, you can not destroy the wire.

The part around the head of course is adjustable. My only issue with these particular headsets is that they can tight around the head and become unfortable and I have to adjust them from time to time so I don't get annoyed with them. Yet this is probably due to my big head.:)

Concealer

Description

Excellent concealer for those unfortunate blackheads aka acne marks that can appear on your skin. Especially in obvious places such as your chin or even dead center between your eyes(yes I do have both). But I use this product along with my Immance moisturizer and I have fanatastic results. So just think a concealer soft enough to blend with your tinted moisturizer and just as strong to stand up to your full coverage foundation. Prrrrrrfect.

Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Powered Speakers - Computer Speaker Systems

First to recommend

Description

Excellent speakers that I picked up this past weekend. Previously had some Klipsh Computer 5 piece surround system speakers and they had become defective not to mention there was just too much wiring with their system I decided to go with with this Bose system since pretty much the other sound systems in our house are all Bose.

Immediately out of the box it was a very clean and simple setup. Everything was either color coded or had a unique shape outlet so that only one piece would fit. The control for the volume is a circular device that is touch sensative. You tap it to turn it on and tap it again to it off. To control the volume the top of the device turns clock wise/ counter clock wise. The speakers give off an excellent surround sound. It is a shock that just those 2 speakers can give off such a powerful yet clear sound.

Highly recommend this product if you want a great sound, minimum wire issues, and don't mind putting in the money for it ($399).

LG HBM-500 Black Bluetooth Headset

First to recommend

Description

One of the best bluetooth headsets I have ever owned. It's an older model but still popular. I have had my headset for at least 4 years. The main unique feature is the caller id display on the front of the headset. When my phone rings the phone number will pop up on the display and I can decide to answer it or not. Not to mention the answer button looks like a pretty cubic zirconia. The outer rim of the button highlights 3 different colors depending on connection. Blue- for connected to phone, Green- for charging, and Red- for needs to be charged.

The volume controls are located at the bottom of the headset. My only main gripe is the headset, since my ears a smaller I have to wiggle around the set to get a tight yet comfortable grip on my ear. Right now on my headset the rplastic backing that loops around my ear is splitting apart but I can easly glue that back together.

Overall very impressed with this headset especially for it to still work so superbly after all these years.

Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000

Description

Bought this bluetooth mouse in conjunction with my Kensington - USB Bluetooth Micro Adapter (See review also on this item). Since my laptop did not have built in bluetooth capability. Excellent response time, has an on and off switch on the bottom of the mouse so it doesn't drain power. Also has another button at the bottom to activate the signal between the mouse and your computer. The response time to me is faster with a bluetooth mouse than with an infrared receiver mouse. Great product highly recommend.

The DL Chronicles

Description

Another excellent drama series regarding gay culture. The first season has already been released to dvd. It debuted on a Subscription-based cable service called the HERE! network last year. I was able to find it on my local Charter service and they do provide to other cable providers as well. Just go to their webpage www.heretv.com. To subscribe it costs $6.99 a month.

This series follows the stories of African-American men who live secret lifestyles and how they deal with trying to maintain normal lives to those with whom they interact. I found this series very interesting and quite different from the other gay drama series I used to follow - Noah's Arc. In that series it was also about black gay men but they were out with their lifestyle.

Overall I was able to catch a few episodes and I do plan on buying the first season on dvd very soon;)
