I think of myself as equal parts wordsmith and wiseass. I deeply love language, which often leads to me asking questions like “Is it really ‘unique’, or just unusual?” Unfortunately, most people don’t grasp the deep cultural significance of questions like these, but so far I’ve managed to avoid being punched in the face. My past includes stints bodysurfing, cycling (road, mountain and cyclocross), working for a small winery, getting my writing in various publications, from literary magazines to food websites, and scouring craigslist for used furniture—and no, I’m not telling you my keywords. Oh yeah, I’m the editor at Nau.
